Michael Nunn who looked superb vs Frank Tate when winning the middleweight title in `88.

Hector Camacho who was never the same after being badly hurt by a shot Edwin Rosario nailed him with in `86, he was a lot slower as he rose in weight, in his prime amazingly fast.

Mike Tyson-Had a few very good win during the Rooney years, but know trainer came close afterwards to bringing out the best in Mike, and we never got to see if he could have dominated in the 90`s the way he did in the second half of the `80`s, Lewis, Bowe and Holyfield would have been serious scalps for Mike to have on his record, shame.

    Young Griffo.

The man might have been the p4p standout of his era, if he had a good work ethic.

Joe Goddard started late, liked to drink and didn't like to train. But he could punch mightily.

Big daddy Bowe and Ike Ike Ibeabuchi spring to mind. Also could include so many 80s Heavyweights like Thomas, Witherspoon, Cooney and Dokes who all has talent or potential but for various reasons, never developed or let their prime years just slide by.

Max Baer, couldve been an ATG puncher that had a war with the great Joe Louis, but instead he goofed off in training and the ring, and lost to James Braddock ffs

EDDIE M.M. GREGORY! A fighter possessing every tool of talent in every category who IMO could have been tossed around as an ATG pvp but instead is simply a 'side bar' as a great light heavy, a 'side bar' as a great MW when, had that twisted mind of his been on straight, he may have run the table on all of those big MW & LH bouts.
Edit: Just watched Gregory-Spinks again. After losing 25 lbs. in four weeks and sweating it out to make the weight just prior, he owned Spinks for the first half of the fight. H-e-l-l the associated press called that fight a draw. IMO it just validates what I'd said. If Eddie had showed up in shape then, he takes a fairly easy win. Not to take anything away from Spinks but, Eddie was a better fighter except but for the reasons I'd mentioned.

jowcol, great accessement, eddie Gregory was great! It could have been so much better for him. It always made me feel bad watching a fighter I KNEW had all the tools just not use them during a fight, wether it be from not being in shape to just being lazy.
