Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Punch and hold technique is the diritest tactic in my book. That's one of the worst types of cheating.

Yea that's why Hatton is the most boring elite fighter to me.

It is a part of the sport but only to a certain extent. There's a limit.. GTFO outa here with all that " then u don't know boxing " bs.

John Ruiz and HAtton do it too much and it's ridiculous.

Maybe you don't know what a sweet science is.

To be very fair.... Hatton didn't really do it against Kostya BUT he did adopt the technique a a few fights later.

There is a strong myth going aboiut that that was Ricky's technique in the fight. That myth was created by people who didn't want to see Ricky win/Kostya lose.

The myth goes further that Rick was the dirty fighter, low blows and all that when in fact, IF SOMEONE WOULD ****ING BOTHER TO WATCH THE FIGHT you will see that there were three low blows from K first and Rick, in anger, retaliated.

Even Kostya admitted to that post fight and you lot know damn well what Kostya said.... or at least those who bothered watching the fight and what happened later.

Pat. Do yourself a favour mate. Don't respond to K2Ray. You will only get yourself worked up by the depths of idiocy humanity can sink to. K is the ultimate anti-Hatton and on top of that, he doesn't really like white fighters as a whole.

Do yourself a favour our kid.

K is the one person left in my ignore list and that list originated a long time ago when we suddenly had an influx of the most cretinous posters you can imagine.

that's an understatement bro, I was ringside and that was disgusting, what happened was Hatton got hurt bad to the body in the 6th and then just quick jab and clinched for 6 rounds in a row . Guess he did what he had to to win, but i don't think that's boxing and ricky ain't at the top of my list. The more I think about it , what else could he possibly do agaisnt Paq. It's his only chance..

Shane Mosely is a cheat. BUST. Now get off Hattons back and lets recall B Hops manly performance against super Joe Calzaghe

don't like it too much either, but sometimes it just has to be used, especially if the fighter being hugged has some dangerous fight ending pop or damaging power in his punches. i believe it also sapps the one getting hugged of arm power while their trying to get out of the hold, so it's a double edged knife. it's a defensive ploy by not allowing a fighter to punch by not giving him enough space and an offensive one that in which they are wearing the fighter down without actually punching them. i think it takes more energy getting out of a hug than giving one imo

It is a good technique, but it becomes boring to the fans once they do it excesively

****, why are people saying that they enjoy it?

Everybody hates that part of boxing. Why do you think people who aren't big fans turn the channel when that **** goes on? Who here stands up and starts yelling at the screen when guys tie eachother up?

Nobody likes that ****. Yeah, it's part of the game and it's a smart tactic, but as a fan, does anyone really find holding exciting?
