First of all, I haven't been in the forum for a while, so I apologize if this thread has already been made...

I want to know, who in here actually thinks Pacquiao can beat Mayweather? I am not a Mayweather fan but I am, however, a big Pacquiao fan. But I can't see how Pacquiao can beat Mayweather.

    Three main reasons why:
-Marquez showed us how Pacquiao can be beat, and Mayweather has the same tools.
-Mayweather is much faster and stronger than Marquez.
    -Styles make fights.

    Comments?

How can Pac, who went life & death with JMM, beat PBF who does EVERYTHING better than JMM?

Pac-man is better than a prime Castillo who gave Mayweather all kinds of trouble..Mayweather would have to use his brittle hands alot in this fight, which may impact...

watch mayweather vs gatti ( a fight which took place at 140) every time gatti even makes a lunge forward with intent, mayweather lands a frightening fast and accurate 2 or 3 punch combo, do you really believe jmm could do that at 140 which is where pac now fights

Pac does not fight like Castillo. Hatton, Judah and De La Hoya are all better than Castillo as well. They also got beat by Mayweather.

Marquez is more willing to engage Pacquiao toe-to-toe, and that is vital to beating him. He is an aggressive counter-puncher, not a counter-puncher who sits back on the defensive. While it did cost him in terms of knockdowns, it's very effective in packing Pacquiao up and negating his pressure, even if momentarily. Can Mayweather afford to sit back and just let Pacquiao come at him with such a high workrate? It will cost him a decision if he does. He's vulnerable when he opens up offensively, and I'm not sure he'll do it reguarly like Marquez and Morales did, because he'll want to avoid the power. Pacquiao's pressure, handspeed, determination, workrate and agility will make him a nightmare matchup for Mayweather. Obviously Floyd is a nightmare for anyone, and it will be a very close fight, but Pacquiao will be more than competitive, he's a massive shot at winning.

JMM was able to offset Pac because just like what Jbuz said, he was not the typical counter puncher..He was countering everytime Manny throws his punch..PBF style is to allow you to punch and make you miss..Pac is a volume puncher with unbelievable speed...And thats not how to beat a prime Manny, dont allow him to punch all the way. one way or another one of those punches will land from time to time. Pac is not a one punch KO artist at higher weights . He is an accumulation KO fighter.

    indeed.

thats the only door left open in my head which gives pac a chance esp when he (pac) is coming to fight.

but i still see floyd landing the cleaner shots and the fight definetly going the distance.

will floyd still be as sharp coming from the long lay off with no tune-up?

who knows... either way i'm all in on floyd.
