I would be interested to see how he would fair against a Prime Don Curry.

A fired up Honeyghan would give him a rough time as well, Mayweather would be the betting favourite but Lloyd would not make it easy for him that's for sure.

a 1000 fighters from the LEADING Boxing Nations who were Champions, Top Contenders & World Classed in those Greater Times over 150 years of the sports rich history!

that's at least a half dozen or so fighters in & around his weight from every decade and some decades could offer you a few dozen of them!!!

Agreed. For years historians have viewed Mayweather with disdain. Yes-- he is a *****, but he's also tremendously talented!

Few at welterweight is going to out box him because he has elite level speed, accuracy and defense. Miss, and he can counter punch. On top of this he is a good ring general, has quick feet and has shown at least a solid chin.

To beat Mayweather, you have to force him into multiple exchanges and maul him. The closest anyone came to beating Mayweather is Jose Luis Castillo, You could argue one of their fights was a draw or even a split decision loss for Mayweather.

Which past greats could replicate this? Sugar Ray for sure. Perhaps Cerdan.

Mayweather never fought anyone like Hearns. Style wise, Hearns huge height and reach advantage combined with his skills and power would off set Mayweather's preferred mode of engagement. IMO Hears wins a decision over Mayweather.

Duran would show Mayweather things he's never seen before. Durans ability to go from defence to offence is done with a speed and fluidity never seen in another fighter, EVER. On top of that Durans faint variety is of a standard Mayweather has never seen before. Duran is the GOAT at faints. The way he uses faints and head movement to get inside would open up Mayweather. Duran also had a brilliant defence so Floyd wouldn't be able to pot shot Duran as easily. This is a horrible match up for Mayweather. What would Mayweather do when he faces a fighter who he cant run, shoulder roll and pot shoot against. A lot of fans talk about Mayweather like he's some milti dimentional boxing machine. He's not. Going by the ODH fight imo prime Duran beats the **** out of Mayweather.

Robinson and all the fab 4 beat him quite easily. Prime ODH has a shot since old ODH ran him close.

These 3 beat him...SRR and Hearns by horrific Ko`s. Forrest was a great boxer with a sterling jab. It would be problematic for Floyd. This is the closest one but I see Forrest sqeaking it out...

At various weights he is beatable, especially at lightweight, if Castillos smothering style is troubling you, you are never beating Roberto Duran for example.

A prime Shane Mosley beats him at 135 an quite possibly at 47.

    Leonard and Hearns beat him.

Mike McCallum beats him at 154.

You wouldn't favour Roberto Duran at 135 then?

Mosley was better at 147. Also on gear.

Tough pick for many reasons, especially as a faded and inactive Shane had Floyd all over the shop and could've followed up more closer to his best. Floyd was a bit past his best but has shown many times after he's still elite whereas Shane has been a gatekeeper/trialhorse ever since.

    Duran would muller Floyd badly.
