Floyd really did lose to Castillo & Maidana Only his vegas homeboy officials gave him wins he didn't deserve
I think Castillo beat him (1st fight) PRIME Pac can beat him PRIME DURAN PRIME HEARNS PRIME SRL PRIME PRYOR PRIME FORREST PRIME MOSLEY PRIME JUDAH
Shiiit, Hatton troubled him for 6 rounds and he was a very small welter with no jab. Floyd doesnt move up in weight back in the 80's and 90's the water would be too deep!!!!
I'll never understand why people are so sure Hearns would KO Mayweather. Mayweather has been legitimately knocked down only once in his career, and even that was a "kind of" knockdown. He has been hurt only twice. Twice in 46 fights. He seldom even catches a really clean shot to the head, yet everyone is SO sure Hearns would spark him. I don't get it.
Doesn't matter. We're talking about one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time, here. He very, very seldom takes damage, even in rounds he clearly loses. Besides Corley, and Mosley, when has he ever been caught with something really huge? All I'm saying is, if anyone should be given the benefit of the doubt against Hearns, it's Floyd, given his defensive record.
Ha ha , shiit you dont know much do you , of course it matters , Benitez was a better defensive fighter than Floyd , was bigger than Floyd , hit harder than Floyd and was shut out by Hearns, and the only reason Benitez remained in the fight was because every now and then he was able to land a hard right hand . Floyd wouldnt have this. Also the chances are this would be a 15 round fight.
You say I don't know much, yet you're using circular reasoning - something you should never do when analyzing potential matchups. If I wanted to do that, I can say that Luigi Minchillo managed to go the distance with Hearns, so why can't Floyd? After all, he does everything much better than Minchillo. Another one - Benitez drew with Harold Weston, and guy FMJ would have surely beaten...see how that works? And why are the chances it would be a 15 round fight? Assuming we're talking prime for prime, here, Hearns could be transported to the 12 round era just like FMJ could be transported to the 15 round era.
It was you that was saying it didnt matter , I showed you that it did and you are almost agreeing with me without knowing it. I am giving you the closest analysis to who Floyd would match up against in Hearns career. Benitez is a pretty good match up. Weston and Minchillo have no relevance in this conversation or I could bring in fighters who Floyd had struggled with who would get destroyed by Hearns.
I said it doesn't matter when you asked if FMJ has ever fought someone like Hearns. It doesn't matter, because, given his defensive prowess, FMJ should be given the benefit of the doubt, even against a banger like Hearns. And I actually don't think Benitez was better defensively than Mayweather is.
Your defense and offense has to be measured against the level of opposition you face. There is no doubt Floyd would have been hit more fighting the level Benitez fought at than his own level. Also Hearns wasnt simply just a banger he would have also easily been the best boxer Floyd fought. There isnt a fighter on Floyds entire reume I would give more than a 50% chance of beating Hearns.
