:patschIf you don't know who Byron Mitchell is then you don't know boxing, and I can only assume you are here to troll.

I am here for concise, sensible boxing debate, but it's impossible with moronic ignoramuses such as you. I now have to employ my trusted perma-ignore button as you are polluting this fantastic thread with your constant inane drivel.

2 time WBA SMW champ, not a bad boxer, just couldnt compete in the tough European SMW scene, losing to Girard, Ottke and Calzaghe, but was doing well at home

I didnt mention quite few things.

    According to The Ring:-

    RJJ
    - Ring #1 MW (1993), Ring #1 SMW (1994 - 1997), Ring #1 LHW (2000)
    - Ring LHW Champ (2001 - 2003)
    - In the Ring top 10 P4P (1993 - 2003)
    - Ring P4P #1 (1996, 1997, 1999, 2003)

    Calzaghe
    - Ring #1 SMW (2002 - 2005)
    - Ring SMW Champ (2006 - 2007), Ring LHW Champ (2008 )
    - In the Ring top 10 P4P (2006 - 2009)
    - Ring P4P #3 (2009)

    Calzaghe: Unbeaten
    - But people say he didnt face tough opposition in their primes. And that is valid when you look at Tocker Pudwill.

RJJ: First man who debuted at LMW to win a title at HW, and much more.
    - What do you say about that?

Roy Jones Jr has better achievements at Proffesional, and at Amatuer level.

yea RJJ wasnt even a LMW

    scratch that I was wrong

But for a man to win the HW title coming from MW is still a feat.

Maybe so but lets face it his title at HW was pretty meaningless, Ruiz was garbage. Also there have been many fighters that started out at or close to middleweight like Tunney, Patterson, Charles, hell even Jimmy Ellis, and their heavyweight resumes are much better than Jones. His win over Toney was 10x more impressive than his win over Ruiz because Toney was actually a great fighter. Back in the day a light heavyweight going up to heavyweight for a little payday against a contender/gatekeeper (which is all Ruiz would have been before IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO ect came along) was pretty common.

1985-88 British Schoolboy Lightweight (132lbs) Champion

1989 Junior Multi Nations Welterweight (147lbs) in Denmark (represented Britain against Sweden, Norway and Denmark, beat Armand Krajnc and Ole Klemetson)

1989 Junior Multi Nations Welterweight (147lbs) in Italy (represented Italy against Germany, Ireland and Romania, beat Adrian Preda)

1990 Senior Welsh ABA Junior-Welterweight (139lbs) Finalist (robbed against Michael Smyth)

1990 Junior European Junior-Welterweight (139lbs) Championships in Czech Republic (robbed against Romanian Adrian Preda)

1991 Senior British ABA Welterweight (147lbs) Champion

1991 Italy vs USA Junior-Middleweight (156lbs) dual meet in Italy (beat Raul Marquez)

1992 Senior British ABA Junior-Middleweight (156lbs) Champion (beat Chris Sanigar's Bristol boys Dean Francis and Glenn Catley, stopped Francis in semi-final and stopped Catley in final)

1992 Italy vs USA Middleweight (165lbs) dual meet in Italy (beat Chris Byrd)

1993 Senior British ABA Middleweight (165lbs) Champion (beat Jason Matthews)

Only man to win the British ABA Championships in 3 different weight classes in 3 different years (consecutive years at that).

Was excluded from the Olympics due to politics by the Welsh ABA, otherwise he would have easily won a Gold and surpassed RJJ.

Holds a lop-sided win over Roy Jones, despite beng shot, having Glass Hands, being in Jones' back garden, with corrupt officials.

Roy Jones regularly fought police men, sanitation workers, driving instructors, civil servants.

Calzaghe pwns Roy Jones at every level. :bbb:happy

46and0 pwns realsoulja yet again. :bbb:happy
