I think Mosley with his cast iron jaw and his quick powerful punching, aggresive style would be a live underdog to pull off an upset, his lack of a jab would be a worry however.

Yes '00-'02 Mosley is live against anyone at WW. With that said, he just struggles so much with solid jabs that it's hard for me to see him winning a decision against Hearns. Of course, there's a small chance that he could land that one perfect right hand and finish him from there :think...

He was KOed 3 times, 4th time he hurt his ankle. Everyone you mentioned was 160+, Outside of tanking against SRL he was rarely in trouble 154 and below. You are right a big part of Tommy's appeal was either he was gonna get you or you were gonna get him . . . god I miss tommy:bbb:bbb

He would be a live dog but Tommy would still be the favourite! However, you are correct SSM @ 147 are one of the few that could make it very interesting.:good

I'd guarantee the (best) two sugars beat him.

From there...I'd slightly favour Trinidad and make it 50/50 with Napoles perhaps?

At 154, probably Leonard, Robinson, and maybe McCallum. Trinidad maybe with an outside shot at a weight where Hearns looked much more hydrated.

Anybody like Griffith, Rodriguez or Curry?

Tito aint doing **** against Tommy. SRL @ 147 already happened over 12 it was tommy up or tied at best and Tommy gassed in the championship rounds. @147 v SRL I would say is still 50-50. SRR @147 I could see being favoured. I never thought about Napoles but I would slightly favour Tommy . . . interesting match-up

@154 good call with "The Body Snatcher", I would slightly favour him over Mike but it would have been a great fight

    Very few.

Much of Hearns' greatness, beyond and in supplement to his resume, is predicated upon his head-to-head prowess.

Besides SRL and SRR? Nobody. Even Roy who weighed around 154 early in his career wouldn't be a favorite over hearns, he'd be too inexperienced.

I think McCallum would sucker him in and eventually knock him out. McCallum just is extremely good and underrated. His body punching is a nightmare for Hearns and I just can't see him getting stopped. Quite a few others went the distance with Hearns and McCallum punches very, very hard. They're both technically excellent but McCallum is a bit more varied and intelligent in his approach and also a bit tougher.

Hearns could do like Kalambay and make McCallum look slow-footed, predictble and one-dimensional but Hearns will want to fight, I suspect. Not like against Hagler but still not move side to side like Kalambay. Heanrs trusts his power, which is much better than Kalambay's, hence the different game plans. And considering McCallum's intellect, he would eventually force Hearns to fight. Kalambay, Curry and Graham gave him the biggest problems but I'd argue that Graham and Kalambay - with their movement - are more likely to expose some of McCallum's weaknesses than Hearns.

Duran also has a good shot at WW. His ability to slip punches and move his feet was greatly dimished by the time they met. Benitez, also, wasn't at his best weight. Hearns could beat anybody but against more natural JMW:s, both in punching power and punch resistance, he'd have a tougher challenge.

Mosley is too controllable with the jab (see Forrest and Winky). Tito has a shot but would likely get knocked out before. Norris, Jackson and Mugabi are long-shots but I couldn't be certain with Hearns due to their extreme power and Barkley's destruction of him.

Leonard would knock him out again. But Robinson, Leonard and McCallum are the only ones I'd favour. Then, of course, we have older fighters like Gavilan, Walker and Griffith but I haven't seen enough of them to comment.

Napoles has a shot but I think he is just a tad too small. His style though is enough to give Hearns fits and the fight would be highly intriguing. He certainly as the chin, slippery, brain and ability to move inside to make Hearns unomfortable.

I don't see how so many people are pulling Tito out they asses.:huh

And to say that SRL was a guarantee is really going too far. He beat him. But you just guarantee a victory over a guy you beat in the 14th while down on the cards.

SRR I won't argue against based on legacy. But H2H is different.

McCallum ain't keepin up if Tommy is disciplined. And though he would be hard to stop, I don't think he's ever felt that clean right from Hearns.

And Duran at 147 would have suffered the same fate. He was just too small and had to do too much to work his way inside.

Tito? Really? The guy was out boxed by Oscar, Dominated by Hopkins, and completely humiliated by Wright. All of his earlier KO wins are also just as questionable as Margaritos based on illegal hand wrapping.

Hearns would dominate Tito any frankly most other fighters at those weights aside from SRR and SRL. A true ATG.

Prime De La Hoya could give him some problems...would not "favor" De La Hoya over him though.
