Who in the last ten years was stronger than Liston?

    Liston is not stronger than the guys today. He may be stronger than the 212 lbers today but not the Tyson Fury's or Wlad Kitschko's of today. No, I say he is very close though.

    Certainly some **** getting talked. Add Hearns to the list. Boxers have decent forearm strength from countless hours of hitting the bag, sparring etc.

    Anyone thinking a top ranked pro would gain significant punching power by noticably improving forewarm strength is kidding themselves.

    The core, biceps and triceps are infinitely more important. Good leverage is also critical. Genetics is sure handy too. Some guys are born to be powerful.

    Punching power is mainly from the shoulder snap, and your understanding of your own bodies weight balance.


    Everything else is secondary

    Remember too all punches start from the legs. The hip area and frontal core are also, shall i say, pivotal!!!!!
