A victory over Geale would solidify GGG as the number one contender/champion in waiting/uncrowned champion (depending on who you ask), since Geale is the consensus number two contender behind Golovkin. Along with the Macklin and Proska wins (consensus top 10 guys), that would be enough to warrant the shot, methinks.

    "I don't have a answer so I just get mad!" - That's you

The fact that you have no opinion on the subject of this thread tells me all I need to know about you, f*ck stick.
I'm not emotionally involved. I just want to get a gauge on the caliber of idiots we're dealing with here.
You up around the top of the list, homeboi.:rofl

To get a shot at the MW Crown specifically how about dropping that WBA Title and beating Rubio and whoever else the WBC has a 1/2 for there title and force Cotto to fight you or vacated I'm sure the Lineal Title is worth more then the WBA Tiltle and GGG could easily win it back after becoming the Champ. My whole point about 168 is this if nobody will fight you do what everyone does move up and try to make a name.

You can't really rationalise Cotto being scary if he doesn't fight Gennandy in his 4th division then say its unfair to ask Golovkin to move up just one division.

At least Geale has manned up. If GGG beats Geale he is next in line for the 'lineal' title, although right now he would be favored over any other MW.

Golovkin should give up his WBA "Super" belt to fight Rubio for the WBC Interim title? Has anyone ever done that before?:huh
It seems unfair to me to ask Rubio to take a fight that he would lose and lose his chance at a world title when he has already stepped aside once.
Rubio was offered the fight before when GGG fought Rosado, but either HBO or Rubio turned it down.
HBO might pick that fight up now if they did turn it down before and Rubio would probably take it if he can't get Cotto and it's a choice between the winner of Murray/Bursak and GGG.
I'm just glad I finally got an actual name from someone:lol:

I never said it was unfair for GGG to move up.
I'm questioning this perception that a fighter who supposedly hasn't done enough to earn a shot at the lineal title in his own division has somehow done enough to earn a fight with the #2 p4p undisputed champion in the next division.
I just want to make sure and get this right.
Golovkin has done enough right now to move up and fight the p4p#2 fighter in the world and undisputed champ @168lbs, but he had not done enough to fight Sergio Martinez and has not done enough to fight Miguel Cotto?

Realistically he hasn't done enough for either but a Geale win would be quality enough that he sbould get a crack at Cotto. GGG was just moved to the real WBA Champ up til now he was an interim titlist like Rubio the WBC/Lineal title is worth more than the WBA Title so if its all about becoming "The Man" drop the lesser title and go for the real belt. GGG could move up and fight Ward because like GGG he says everyone is ducking him and has no one else to fight, and like GGG Ward won't move up either.

Ok, this maybe one scenario. Canelo loses to Lara in a close match then GGG beats Lara to met the winner of Canelo/Cotto. So Lara in this scenario.

Realistic people know GGG is the real MW champ. Who cares about stupid belts and "lineal" titles. What matters is what we know. If everyone ducks GGG, it means he the best.

Realistically he has already done enough to challenge for the Lineal title.

Martinez didn't get the opportunities to fight the best at 154 lbs but was offered a fight against Pavlik after the Williams fight fell through, Martinez took the risk and moved up in weight.

GGG has Geale and Soliman willing to fight him at 160 lbs and I hope he gets the chance to fight the best at 160 lbs if he can't I think he should take the risk and try to conquer the Super middle weight division.

He's more proven now than Sergio was when Pavlik gave him a shot. He's earned the shot now, but all he can do is keep knocking mofos out until his ratings justify a B-side to a Ppv with Cotto or Canelo.

True but this is similar to Ward being willing to give GGG a shot at his belts.

Martinez was a JNr Middle weight.
