IIRC he went to Ingle's gym with his brothers, and it went from there. Legend has it that Ingle saw him fighting off three bigger kids in the school playground, if you want to take that at face value. Herol Graham was obviously a huge influence on Naz and all the other Wincobank fighters. Hamed has cited Ali as a hero of his, like most fighters. His style was moulded in Ingle's gym though, and what set him apart from the rest of their fighters was his ability and power. While unusual by conventional standards, his style wasn't that much different from other fighters Ingle produced.
Hamed was the type to rip off others to make something than claim it as his own Herol graham obviously. Eubanks he copied his strutting and ring entrances. Laughably he tried to ape Ali"s interview style and made round predictions But the biggest thing about naseem is around about 1987 he developed a major hard on for a boxer...whose trunks he ripped off...whose hair style complete with front dangle he ripped off..who he watched hour after hour as he was a fast flashy southpaw of lesser height....that man was hector camacho and the hard on came after observing canachos electrifying british prime time tv appearence on the terry marsh-kaneda bill By 96/97 hamed was his own man and will go down as a very good enigmatic fighter....if he'd not only stayed hungry but increased his hunger and had more fighting pride he wouldve had the chance of elite tier legendary status ....but he never had that mentality thats why he never went to 130 and beyond...he doesnt have any thing close to what pac, garcia, loma ,money have mentally. He got v comfortable once money came in...and he cleaned up in britain in 90s...i mean if youre earning £2 mill a fight for 6 years and a house in your hometown is £4,000 why wouldnt u just biy the houses get the rent and retire
If my memory serves me right, Wasn't Brendon on a bus and watched Naz do that to them lads at a bus stop and not a play ground, i could be wrong...
