If Paul Williams won the first fight with Carlos Quintana I would have him #1 at 147 slightly ahead of Antonio Margarito because of his win over him.
With Williams one round ko of Quintana in their rematch and Margarito's win over Miguel Cotto. The picture at 147 becomes a bit more confusing.
Before Margartio beat him Cotto was the man at 147.
I wouldn't blame Margrito if he took a match with Oscar De La Hoya after a big win like he just had over Cotto he has every right to go for the big payday that he could only get in facing De La Hoya, but a rematch between Williams and Margartio needs to be made ASAP to decide who in fact is #1 at 147.

Margarito beat the #1 in Cotto, Williams beat Margarito when he #3 or #4 and Quintana when he was #4 or so. Margarito is the number one Welterweight. There is a certain continuity to these things, ahem.

That's ****ing garbage. God you are an awful nuthugger sometimes.

Look at compareable resumes at 147 (last two years) and it'll tell you who is #1.

    Margarito:

    Cotto
    Cintron
    Johnson
    Clottey
    Gomez

    Williams:

    Quintana
    Margarito
    Pakau
    Mitchell
    Matthysse
    Rios

Now, care to tell me how the **** you'd have Williams as the number one?
