I dig 'eem don't get me wrong, but Margo's #1 as far as bein' the most sensational fighter in that div. right now. Granted, he mopped the ring with Cotto's ass, But I gotta say I think both Williams (again, will likely do it twice) and Mayweather are well capable of beating him. I love his style and wish more fighters were like that, but he looks very beatable by a marquee tactician.

Paul Williams. I can't rate Margarito over Williams after his loss to him.

    1.Margo
    2.Williams

Margos win over Cotto puts him there, seeing as Cotto was considerd 1#.

No he isnt..It's a trick question as in reality there is no true #1 WW currently....Since Margaritos close loss to Williams, Williams was beat the **** up in his first fight with Quintana only later to avenge that defeat..Margarito has beaten the (at the time) top WW in beating Cotto....So a viable argument could be made for either fighter...which is why the two need to sort it out....I would lean towards Williams though due to the fact that Margarito is the only one stopping Margarito-Williams2 from happening

Do they need to sort it out? Yes.

Is Margarito the one stalling the fight? Yes.

Has the fact that Margo's stalling the fight anything to do with the thread's question? No.

There is a specific way to rank fighters in a particular division. The question isn't about who we think is the better of the two. So based on quality of opposition and the opponents' ranking at Welterweight, Margo has definitely a case.

Shut up before I have Joe Calzaghe adapting to your plodding style and slap you for 12 rounds :D
