1.Cotto 2.Golovkin Cotto beat the number 1 guy. Yes Golovkin beats him but until he does hes number 2.
Hard to say, but until Keityrov fights a few more times, Im gonna have to go with a 2 way tie between Quillin and korobov. But once Keitryov is up over 15 fights.....hard to say anyone other than GGG and Kheitryov are #1 and #2.
Khrtrov is quite a ways from being considered up there. We have to see how he progresses. I actually think Jacobs beats anyone not named Golovkin at the moment
Well, he's got 8 days to agree to terms with Quillin. If not, you'd best believe Chudinov will be petitioning the WBA to enforce his mandatory status vs Jacobs. So Jacobs will be forced to fight Chudinov or be stripped or fight GGG and be mercilessly annihilated.:yep:yep:yep
1 is Golovkin since he destroyed Macklin. 2 is Cotto since he destroyed Martinez. 3 has to be Quillan by default I guess. That being said I would bet on Canelo to beat all 3 were the fights made.
Golovkin Quillin Cotto Cotto would beat Quillin, but i dont rate him very high, because Martinez knee was destroyed before the fight.
Unless you're bet365 I don't see how that is possible. Catch weights are negotiation tools that have been around since the dawn of boxing. I don't see them as a big deal. For example Cotto is not good enough to beat Golovkin whether that is at 154, 168 or anywhere between. If a fighter feels too drained they will not take the fight.
If it goes to a decision Jacobs has a very good chance of outpointing Dmitry - whilst Chudinov isn't unskilled he is pretty slow, but he is a banger and seems quite able to take a punch (hell, he ships enough of them). What I'm less sure of is how Jacobs will stand up to a guy who can really hit and really put him under pressure. Fletcher had reasonable skills, as did Ishe Smith who Jacobs beat in his younger career, but I'm not sure how Danny will respond to a heavy-handed come forward brawler. I like Jacobs, but his post-Pirog, post-cancer resume leaves too many uncertainties - in fact a win over Chudinov would do a lot to confirm him as an adaptable, top level fighter - in my book at least. Since Pirog, he's simply not had to face anyone who might have a realistic hope of hurting or stopping him. I can comprehend that it isn't a really salable fight in the US and Jacobs could hardly be expected to travel to Russia, but it would actually be quite a revealing fight for both guys and I'd like to see it made.
Champ: Cotto Number 1: GGG Cotto is vulnerable and could lose to a number of guys in the top 10. GGG is the most solid, I know he beat Dirrell in the AMs but I would like to see him in with that type of fighter. At 168 he gets schooled by Ward . . . but that is not the conversation
