Floyd has the numbers to support himself as the bigger draw. he did much better numbers than Pac against 3 common opponents. But i think for a fight of this magnitude 50-50 is fair.

And Mosley ducked Floyd so I guess Floyd returned the favor.

Whats up with this obsession about ppv numbers and who's the bigger draw, who the **** cares about that just make the fight happen, theres plenty of money to make both parties happy and 50/50 is more than fair.

That's b/c DLH was the biggest name in boxing....Ricky was the 2nd at the time and JMM's stock wasn't a big as Ricky or DLH.

But you are only as good as your last fight and you are only as popular as your last PPV numbers suggest. So by PAC doing 250K more buys at the moment he is the PPV King. Floyd should jump at the chance if 50/50 is offered... He can't nor deserves more than that.

This "bigger numbers vs. common opponents" **** means nothing. Just fanboy rationale. Boxing has always been about "What have you done for me lately." Their most recent PPV's were pretty close in the total # of buys, with Manny coming out on top in both buys and gate. This should be 50-50.

stop the bs. common opponents are only common if they fought at exactly the same time. McBride fighting Mike Tyson did 200k ppv's or so, Mcneely fighting Mike tyson did 2mil...Mcneely is worth 1.8mil?

Your stock is only as good as your last fight suggests. Outside Oscar, cotto-Pac is the highest grossing ppv since lewis-tyson, that includes all FMJ fights!

why would Arum let Pac fight Shane when he can keep all the profit in the house with Pac-Cotto? besides Cotto beat Shane.

Floyd on the other hand picked a LW champ over Shane. Floyds reasoning in his own words with Brian Kenny is because JMM was a big draw. He now says JMM is not a big draw(because pac-cotto did more) so is he saying he had no reason for picking JMM as he lied about that reason, he just outright ducked Mosley? Mosley-JMM both GBP fighters so no prob there.

    These are straight facts.

I love how can you can acknowledge that PBF is bigger now than when he last fought his megafight with Hatton, but still try to compare Pac's stock pre-dlh vs pac post-dlh

You didnt answer the quetion. You duck questions as good as floyd ducks opponents.

    Pac-Cotto>PBF-JMM.

Floyd says he chose JMM because he has a country behind him, 11mil mexicans in the US in fact. So the excuse of JMM not being a top draw is out the window. Or are you gonna tell me JMM is not a top draw, Floyd lied just to get out of fighting Shane Mosley? So is Floyd a ducker or just not as good ppv draw as pac? I'll accept he's a bigger ppv draw than Pac if you accept he outright ducked Mosley/Cotto for a LW. Or i'll accept he didnt duck any fighters because he picked a top draw in JMM, unfortunately it still couldnt beat pac-cotto so he's not as big a draw. pick one. :deal

That's where many are having trouble understanding. They read everything at a "surface" level and don't consider the other elements to come up with a LOGICAL conclusion. Good post.:good
