Blade, you know me and you rarely agree about ****, as we root for different fighters.... But you also know I got your back on this one..... This content is protected
To me, who the bigger draw is irrelevant. They're both fighting each other. Fans are not going to pay for this fight to see FMJ only or Pac only. They're going to pay to see both of these gifted fighters.
PBF IS THE BIGGER DRAW......manny needs a BIG NAME TO DRAW PPV.MANNY HAS THE BIGGER FOLLOWING BUT HE HAS THE CHEAPEST FANS probably ANY FIGHTER HAS EVER HAD.100 MILLION FANS IN PINAS I DONT KNOW HOW MANY MORE MILLIONS OF THEM CR.....AROUND THE GLOBE..atschAND THEY CANT GET OVER 2 MILLION PPV WHATS UP WITH THAT ****.atschMANNYS OPPONENTS HAVE TOO CARY threefourths of the ppv load:smoke
I agree with this! Both are draws.....both are considered the best boxing has to offer. Get it done at 147 50/50!
how can you just ignore the fact that in the PPV fights they shared common opponents, DLH, Hatton, JMM....Mayweather as the opponent had more buys every single time. And if Floyd had fought Cotto a couple weeks ago, it would've done more than 1.25 million. It's really not a question, in the US Floyd remains the bigger draw, not surprising considering he's ****ing American. But 50/50 is completely fine because they both absolutely need each other in order to maximize their profits..
Lance made an excellent point......"what have you done for me (Boxing) lately?" Both had mega fights...PAC's numbers did better. You are only as popular as your PPV and gate rev suggests. No one cares what Floyd did in PPV buys 2 yrs or 1 yr ago. It's what he's done recently. It's true Floyd has more units sold in PPV number than PAC collectively but there are many outside factors surrounding those numbers that have little to no meaning right now. But I'm with you that to get this kind of money.....they both need one anther.
it can be debated to death, nobody can actually be proved right or wrong, i'm on the side that Floyd getting 1 million buys vs JMM is just a more impressive feat than Pac-Cotto getting 1.25 mil. Either way both of these guys are red hot draws right now and it's pretty much all nitpicking. They are cash cows.
Pac's the champion with more popularity. He has the right to ask for 60-40 or 70-30, but he's not going to make nearly the money fighting anyone but Floyd, I don't think. Either way, they both know they are each other's biggest career payday, most likely. So, they'll make whatever demands but in the end, this fight gets made and they'll do what it takes and make whatever concessions they need to to make it happen.
