There's not much between them at all in PPV and thats where Floyd loses his bargaining tool , 50 - 50 down the middle for this one !!!!!!

Pacman v PBF IS the biggest PPV. They will both be satisfied with 50/50 because it is better than 70/30 with anyone else.

This PPV train wreck has been in the works for years. PBF retired to wait for it. The Marquez comeback was to position it. Pacman fighting handpicked foregone conclusions has been building towards it. PBF nurturing a culture of PBF haters has crescendoed it.

PBF by TKO in 6 or less.

    Pac definitely.

    Who is the ring P4P#1?
Who has been featured in time magazine?
Who has faced the best opposition and who came up with a stellr exciting performance?

    Nuff said.

If they keep fighting from hereon (not against each other), Pac's popularity will just get bigger and bigger.

Everybody knows that Oscar de la Hoya is the non-heavyweight PPV king. Mayweather and Paccquiao become famous through De la Hoya halo effect.*

Here's a side by side comparison of Pacquiao and Mayweather before and after De la Hoya made them more famous.

Mayweather's Highest PPV before De la Hoya:

    Zab Judah - 374,000
    Arturo Gatti - 365,000
    Carlos Baldomir - 325,000

    TOTAL : 1,064,000

Pacquiao's Highest PPV Fights before De la Hoya:

Juan Manuel Marquez Rematch - 400,000
    Erik Morales 3rd Match - 360,000
Marco Antonio Barrera Rematch - 350,000

    TOTAL: 1,110,000

Now, here's both of their PPV buys AFTER De la Hoya. You can see that it increased considerably:

Mayweather Fights after De la Hoya

    Juan Manuel Marquez - 1,050,000
    Ricky Hatton - 925,000

    TOTAL: 1,975,000

Pacquiao Fights after De la Hoya

    Miguel Cotto - 1,250,000
    Ricky Hatton - 850,000

    TOTAL: 2,100,000

If we take the 2 highest PPV buys of their pre-Oscar fights and compare them with after-Oscar fights PPV buys, here's what it would look like:

Its hard to say which one is the biggger draw because both men generate huge interest in all their fights(although only more recently for Pac).
I would say that Floyd just edges Pacquiao in this department though.

Maybe even. But Floyd's draw will decline if he doesn't fight Pac next.

winner of the argument :happy :happy

    done. end of story.

based on that graph, pac should get 53%, floyd 47%.

floyd should be grateful if he gets 50%.

DISAGREE...OSCAR USED HIS NUMBERS IN PAST FIGHTS TO NEGOTIATE....WHY CANT FLOYD DO THE SAME AS OSCAR??

O YEA I FORGOT...FLOYD IS HELD TO HIRE STANDARDS CUZ PEOPLE DON'T PERSONALLY LIKE HIM SO HE MUST DO MORE TO GET FANS RESPECT:thumbsup

If Mayweather fought Cotto the fight would of done 1.5 -1.75

But that doesn't factor count to you.

And you probably don't count that Floyd did 1 Million against JMM while Pac's two fights with JMM don't add up to 1 million.

And you don't look at that Floyd was in the biggest fight EVER 2.4 Million.

The answer to this question is the Pac-Mayweather split. Which will be 50/50.

    /end thread

and you seem to forget, that was at floyds peak and is now on a decline whereas pacs stock is still continously rising, evidenced by the ppv numbers of their latest fights.

so take your pick. this graph or the latest ppv numbers. either way, pac rightfully should have the bigger share.

and forget conjectures of floyd-cotto numbers. he didn't think cotto was a ppv attraction nor did he do the hardwork to credit from pac-cotto hard earned numbers.

frankly, chances are he could have done worse as the PR fans are not as numerous as the mex fans.

Floyd has never carried a fight on his own. Every big fight he's had is the result of fighting a popular opponent. PBF should just STFU and take what pac gives him, or retire.
