Erm, AJ literally just sold more than him. LOL.

This is a fact so please don't refute it.

If Canelo wasn't popular than those people that paid $74.99 wouldn't have paid that much.

You want to talk about popularity, then please explain why around 40 mill viewers watched Canelo/Chavez in Mexico alone https://laopinion.com/2017/05/10/canelo-alvarez-vs-chavez-jr-cuanta-gente-vio-y-compro-la-pelea/

How reliable is that website and their figures? Doesn't look like a legitimate source.

You can't compare viewing figures if one is free to watch (in his home country) against one that costs £20.

We don't know how many would've watched AJ if it was free. We also don't no how many Africans watched AJ.

I'm going from facts only, ppv s, social media followers, google searches. All quantifiable and measurable from reliable sources.

Revenue is completely and utterly irrelevant to this thread.

    Dude, you have no credibility.
How reliable is that website and their figures? Doesn't look like a legitimate source.
Learn to speak Spanish, how about these other sites saying the same:
    https://www.soloboxeo.com/2017/05/1...ulio-cesar-chavez-jr-todo-un-exito-en-el-ppv/
    https://www.forbes.com.mx/32-millones-de-mexicanos-vieron-la-pelea-entre-el-canelo-y-chavez-jr/
Forbes not good enough for you, it states that ratings went as high as 39.7%

You can't compare viewing figures if one is free to watch (in his home country) against one that costs £20.
    • You're back tracking, remember you said money doesn't count. Why do you think 40 mill Mexicans where watching this fight (not including LA as a whole), of course it was for Canelo and Chaves. Duhh

We don't know how many would've watched AJ if it was free. We also don't no how many Africans watched AJ.
    • I could care less how many Africans watched the fight, your speculating. Give me proof like I did, the burden falls on you to give me proof of how many Africans watched the fight.

I'm going from facts only, ppv s, social media followers, google searches. All quantifiable and measurable from reliable sources.
Google searches doesn't mean they love AJ, that's using a figure to fit your agenda.

Come on, you can do better.

    Smashed what?
Now you're changing from 1.5 to 1.6, OOOK
It's all over different websites, Canelo/Chavez broke the million record. That means it could be 1 - 1.5 mill PPV
    Let's see them AJ/WK ratings?

Nope, just cause it doesn't fit your agenda. The end purpose for a fight is to make as much money as possible, you can only accomplish that task if you're popular.
