Boxing is the better sport, period IMO.

But its also a business/product with customers. And like with any product presentation, consistency, faith in what is being sold are huge factors in a happy customer, or in this case fans. And MMA is the better business and so it has happier customers.

 

I usually only order Pacquiao or Mayweather fights, but not a lot of non boxing fans know about these guys so its hard to get a crowd!

 

Do we know anything about the undercard yet? :huh

Because while the main event isn't as attractive, Golden Boy is putting together one heck of a show.

Sorry, Top Rank is going to have to do a lot better than that. They're up against:

Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon (worth PPV money by itself, IMO the real main event of the GBP card)

Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson vs. TBA (someone highly ranked enough to contend), winner meets Takahiro Aoh for the WBC junior lightweight title. Yeyo is the guy who upset Linares this spring, and is always exciting.

Seth Mitchell vs. Johnathon Banks - honestly a big step up for Mayhem, against a longtime sparring partner of the Klitshcko brothers.

Definately ordering it. This very well could end up being the fight of the year. It will easily do over 500k.

I'm going to have 2 tvs on though so I can be watching the Goldenboy card as well.

Oo yea GBP is murdering Top Rank with that magnificent undercard. Probably one of the best in recent yrs. There's some dynamite in all those fights. I'm still getting the ppv, but like MM most likely I'll be filling in to both fights. Busy night for you it will be, IB!
