One poster on here who's name I forget seems to think Ajose Olusegun is the 2nd coming of SRR.

Who is Olusegun, and is he anything special?

He's the Commonwealth Light Welterweight champ, he's from Nigeria but based In the UK promoted by Maloney.

Fast hands but his defence Is awful he drops like hands and Is open to being pressured by the jab.

His best wins came over weight drained fighters who had to fight him at short notice.

he was average against wright recently, and quite poor against gary reid.

he's got skills but i haven't seen him test them against good opposition. although to be fair i think he's been finding it hard to get decent opposition and he might end up never getting the break until he's already passed his prime

Doesn't do him self any favours agreeing to way too many tune ups against journeymen on Maloney shows either.

He's a decent fighter but, at 29, he's found his level IMHO.

I like Ajose and have also been very critical of his career. He could be a potential title challenger at light welter but seems to be going no where. Ajose has a decent ranking in the WBC rankings at 7 but is untested against anything verging on a top 30 opponent. At 29 years of age he needs to make a move before the year is out but due to his lack of fan pulling power I can not see his promoter pushing the purse out to get him the fights needed. He can be dangerous and awkward so guys do not want to fight him. Personally I think he needs a move to America and hope for a late notice call up by a promoter who does not know anything about him.

In the past I would have had Witter beating him but now I would pick Ajose and I would even suggest that he could handle Bradley although it is hard to pick a winner.

Olu should be on at some point to chat about his guy.

Considering the claims that are made about him and some of his recent performances I think he is over-rated.
