off the top of my head: Floyd, Berto, Taylor, Forrest, Arreola... dunno man. I think Arum is the most influential person in boxing. Haymon is up there. Paul Williams is in his roster too
to be real i dont think that leonard nor al haymon have done anything special for floyd....i think if floyd stuck with gbp and got rid of both leonard and al, floyd would be better off...oscar was once the ppv king and he can teach floyd better than anyone how to have that title by himself...let oscar promote floyd BY HIMESELF and get rid of these 2...
Ah.. nice roster. I just think he has a pull on HBO. Which is evident Way back during Taylor's wins over Hopkins.
I don't know if he has a secret sex videotape on the HBO top brass or what, but his pull with them is phenomenal. Look at Andre Berto, the guy who was in meetings with Greenburg himself, who gave him assurances about fight dates, purses, what have you. Does Berto have the kind of accomplishment to earn this kind of attention? I'm not sure if Taylor is advised by Haymon too, but if he is, that'd probably explain why he got the anointed status back then. I know Haymon was also into the music industry promoting concerts before, but I'm kind of stumped how one guy like Haymon has this much influence, no, more like control, over the only paymaster in boxing.
Yes thats al haymon on the right! Al haymon was and still is a concert promoter. He brings the big time concerts to each town. Like jay-z, mary j blige, lil wayne and all sorts of people!!! He also was in the real estate game. He made his major dough doing concerts since way back when then he got his foot in the door with hbo and boxing somehow and has never looked back! He has major connects with hbo.
