Floyd will not fight anyone who is under 35 a solid champion and is a natural 147 lb fighter. He fights either someone like Khan or Bradley and gets them to move up to 147 lbs, says he makes 65 million from a fight nobody buys and claims to be the greatest fighter of all time.

I think MArtinez and Pw they both have a good chance against FM, but only if they fight at their weight.

i think the breakdown of khan. physically, khan could beat him. but so could zab judah or spadafora at one point. khan's ring iq hasn't been seen yet and I think after a few round he'd get eaten up. still, like you said physically he's got the tool as long as floyd fights him at 140

martinez would be the fight i'd want. for biggest challenge and for history, it's the number 2 fight behind pac

Nobody anywhere near Mayweather's size can beat him. It will have to be someone with significant physical advantages. Like a Martinez or Williams. I wouldnt mind seeing either of those two fights. Floyd still starts as favourite but it would be harder work than anyone at 147 or below. And BTW cotto fight would never happen. Floyd has given Manny too much **** for fighting guys hes beaten before. He would open himself up for too much **** if he took that fight. And it wouldn't be competitive either. Floyd KO's him late

Berto is a decent young champ. He'd be a good win on anyone's resume.

    MARTINEZ
why is Andre Berto being mentioned? he would easily get embarrassed by Floyd, theres no way he will even win a round

Cintron would be a tougher fight than expected and an acceptable tier 2 guy since the top tier guys are omitted in your question....Cintron may have been gifted a draw vs Martinez but, got jobbed vs Williams and got Cheato'd twice (his only 3 losses)...The $ may not be there but, PBF says he's the draw and this would be a tough fight for him against a big puncher...

And if JMM jumping multiple weight classes is not a signigicant factor, why not Arthur Abraham?

    my god...
Theres no way Cintron is an acceptable opponent! After his last fight why on earth should he get the oppurtunity to fight Floyd?
But yes i agree the fight itseld would be tougher than expected

He was beating Paul Williams when the fight got stopped arbitrarily against his wishes...Not sure who was getting 'protected' from the fight continuing...Williams certainly doesn't want a rematch...

He's fought the top guys where others have not...Too bad PBF doesn't take fights like this in between the fighters that are 'out of the realm of reality' for the purposes of this thread...

Martinez is overrated. He's a solid fighter but hes' not elite. I'd give Floyd props if he fought Paul Williams but that would never happen.

Martinez is a southpaw which leaves him more open to Floyd's all time great right hand. Martinez even fights with his hands down on top of what being a southpaw makes him vulnerable for.

The jab is harder to land when you're an orthodox fighting a southpaw, but Floyd won't have any trouble establishing his jab due to Martinez hands down design.

Floyd has been tagged cleanly a few times in the past by round right handed punches, and Martinez best punch is the southpaw right hook. Young Mayweather would make it a priority to take away that punch as soon as possible. Martinez doesn't really have straight left hand, so he would end up being unarmed fighter.

Martinez rhythm is easier to figure out than filipino pride's rhythm. Martinez is off balance all the time, but filipino pride is only off balance sometimes.

pac is a better combination puncher than Mart. pac likes to take breaks during rounds, but Martinez likes to completely take the middle rounds off.

pac is wouldn't be an easier fight for Martinez than Floyd.

Why would anyone want to see him fight Bradley?
