Who Is Antonio Margarito?

those of you who are calling me an idiot are missing the point of this post...

im very happy for margarito and i hope that his career after this fight continues to go upward

 

no the point of this thread was a pro cotto thread....
and also a thread that shows (although the point is whitewash now) that margarito prior to saturday had no bouts to let us know who HE TRULY IS!!

against paul williams a fight that could have cemented him as the fighter he was on saturday he dropped the ball

against clottey the same thing happened even in winning..

no other fighter who margarito faught is truly an elite fighter

but everything we expected out of margarito is true and came full circle on saturday...

saturday night was a test for margarito and stood as margarito's proving grounds to solidify himself as a true elite

he passed the test with flying colors
and proved completely proved to himself and us that margarito is truly the threat we all thought he was...

cause lets face it... if margarito got ko'ed this thread would have popped up and everyone would have been saying

margarito is over hyped
margarito is nobody
margarito is a journey man

my point is that margarito had no true grounds of proof until saturday

 

haha im not mad at all yo.. people dont get that i wasnt trying to hate on margo at all... i was just trying to say that prior to satruday margo is relatively unproven...

i have love for both of them...

 

i was making threads that were pro cotto and pro margo weeks prior to the fight...

this one for some reason hit particularly hard with some people...

and really still proves my point correct...why fight such a fighter thats high risk and low reward.... so you can end up like cotto?

 

and there are thread where ive said i dont care about the outcome of this fight and i like both fighters....

and to alex d1... ive said some where in this thread paul williams is nobody really.. just the guy who beat margarito

 

haha yeah it definitely did... im glad that it spiced the forum up some... and some people understood the point i was trying to make....

like i said in another thread ( maybe this one ) my fav fighter out is paul williams after pw beat margo i hated him extra because he bitched about the fight being poorly judged and wouldnt shake pw's hand after the fight ( something that is traditionally done after most fights)

but after i saw him fight golden johnson i gained alot of respect for him because after such a tough loss and a loss being in a such a great position that margarito was in... a lot of fighters might break down and be mentally weak but margarito went back to the drawing board and came back even hungrier and with a better game plan and thats something i could rspect from anyone
