Hyder is without a doubt the best motivator out of any trainer in Australia, others may excel in other areas, but Hyder knows how to lift & inspire his boxer.
Footage of him in the corner with Bob Mirovic...Adam Wills...even Brendan Batty & others are classic examples. Its training those mid range fighters & raising them to a higher level which more impresses me.

I have high regards for Graham Shaw from Grange, as he remains very calm in the corner & gives short consise intructions. Keeps his fighter very relaxed & on game plan.
Same with Craig Christian has complete control of his corner & keeps his fighters level headed while listening to his clear instructions.

You see a true trainer & his abilities when his boxer faces serious adversity, which is why i rate Craig Christian so highly especially with his work with Chris John.

Controversial name at the moment within boxing circles.
I will reserve my judgement till the smoke clears...

if you need to motivate a boxer, then the boxer shouldnt be fighting. a good fighter needs to be motivated...a great fighter is an inspiration to others.

I dunno about that mate. Boxing is an ongoing learning curve. It's not just about throwing punches, it's about keeping focused, finesse & defence.
Most every opponent is different & a well skilled boxer often has to be prompted to make changes during a fight. IMO, that's where the good trainers/coaches shine.

While your point is well taken with the likes of Pac, Behop, Calzaghe etc, they are a long way away from the vast majority of fighters,

One of the best trainers/strategists that springs to my mind is Shannans original trainer, Billy Corbett.
