CONTROL.. please remember that the reign of Tyson was limited to a few years. The actual time he ruled, he was nothing more than a Kid!!.. The stability around him was on par with the fragility of the ice shelfes.. Tyson was a hard composite.. as was his down turn.
OK. I thought you meant control in the ring. Still though, in those couple years 86-88 he was about as good as one can get.
I guess tactical skills is a one of the main part of the boxing skills...and of cause tactically Holly is more flexible
Agreed.. His entry into the H/W div. was ferocious......... His dominant effect on the div. was ferocious.. an entity to himself..... Sadly, the bigger picture showed the man being just a BOY!!. It still amazes me. The figure he created. The menal picture we have in our minds of that period of destructive power from both fists. He was a kid.. Incredible.
Tyson with his original trainer is a better boxer than almost any other heavy in the last 20 years. After dropping Rooney, he became a complete slugger and the era ended.
Please, don't forget that the answer doesn't mean - Who is better in heavyweight....Holy in cruisers did the same thing as Tyson in heavyweight did...
Agreed. For me, Holyfield edges it out, although I do think it's fair to mentioned that a prime Tyson had better boxing skills than he often gets credit for.
