This whole post is about who the better fighter is. A prime Tito at 147 may be able to beat Lil Floyd at 147, but does that make him a better fighter? Of course not. The arguments in SRL's favor are H2H and resume. People also claim that Floyd couldn't beat the people that Leonard beat. However, the reason for alot of this is not because Leonard is a better fighter than Floyd, but rather a bigger fighter. Matching up a guy with Lil Floyd's size against Hearns, and Hearns might pummel him. However, if it weren't for the massive size disadvantage, it would be a different story.

Floyd is not a better boxer than Leonard, even P4P, he's just more orthodox. Leonard had better variety to his game, and much better combos.

First of all who has Floyd ever beat that come close to the kind of opponents SRL beat? Who knows he MIGHT have found a way to beat all those guys that SRL beat, but Floyd have struggled againsnt lower opposition so my guess it he couldn't have beaten them.

Leonard at his best was a physical freak. 5" 10" tall, a wiry frame, but he had the power and strength to overwhelm big guys like Donny Lalonde and Hearns and swarm all over them and knock them sparko in the late rounds. He was also capable of putting together vicious six or seven punch combo's.

However, Floyd is special and I believe he could have found a way to win. He would be pot shotting leonard as Sugar Ray would be teeing off. That would stop the seven punch combo's right off the bat.

Dont forget floyd's life long ARCH NEMESIS Floyd SR:good :rofl

There's no question and anyone voting for Floyd is a blindly delusional Mayweather fan with little to no basis in rational objective thinking.
You cannot dismiss THE FACTS! When floyd wont fight guy's like Cotto or Williams he has NO CHANCE of ever improving his position in such an argument/theory.

The only guy Leonard fought with the style of Mayweather was Benitez. Benitez was good but no Mayweather, yet Leonard did not overwhelm him with power combo's(until the last round). Instead he chose to box him in a chess match fight. If he fought Mayweather he would probably do the same thing and Mayweather would outsmart him in my opinion and frustrate him. Some of the guys Leonard looked great against were realtively stationary targets and he couldn't really tag Hearns until Hearn's weak punch resistance left him vulnerable in the latter rounds.

I have grown to repect PBF.

As Joe Frazier once said "You can only fight the fighters
    of YOUR era".

PBF needs to take care of Cotto soon to seal his legacy.

Then he can play the SRL game of retire, unretire, retire, unretire.

Of course there always is a Terry Norris type fighter out there waiting to remind you what boxing is really about if you try it too many times.

    ;)

Floyd Mayweather. He told Leonard straight to his face how he would beat him. If Leonard had trouble with his father how would he beat Floyd?
