My boy Benitez? Have you seen him fight... nope well STFU then do not comment on fighters you dont know about :good Who would you pick in a Hearns vs Mayweather match up? Why the **** do I have to go look for the article you brought it up :good
And exactly why would Leonard tear Floyd a new one. You cant question ATG's now? Lets see, Floyd was the better defensive fighter, quicker to the point of attack and the best lead right in history. These alone would give Floyd a shot at UD'ing Leonard. What would Leonard do to penetrate Floyds defense?
I'd take Hearns. Floyds the better boxer, but there isnt much you can do against someones whos just physically superior. Mayweather would be on the back foot the entire fight. Hagler and Hearns would beat Mayweather on just physical superiority. Duran, Benitez and Leonard would lose.
Floyd was not "quicker to the point of attack" he was slower than Ray Leonard. Ray would unload combinations on Floyd. Floyd also does not have the pop to hurt Ray. Also an intresting way to avoid lead rights...head movment :think Wonder if Ray moved his head. Ray would walk him down behind the jab and unload fast fast combinations to head and crack him to the body mate. Ray would beat Floyd up :good
like i said before, highlights dont count, wether cotto or williams can beat him or not is another question, every real boxing fans want to see floyd vs williams/cotto, but mtv fans such as yourself dont.
Nope, not highlights, entire fights. Why do you keep saying I dont wanna see these fights? Like I said, nothing pleases me more then watching what new excuses Floyds haters get to make next. I love when they bring up Plavik, or how he'd be destroyed by Leonard or something lol. Thats all they got.
OOOO combinations! no not combinations! They'll look real pretty when they dont land lol. How was floyd slower then Leonard? Have you seen Floyd fight. Do you not wonder why he has the best hit to not get it ratio in boxing history? That doesnt even filter into your mind how he can reduce guys like Oscar De La Hoya who are known for their combo's into single digit punching nobodies? Leonard thinks he's faster then Floyd then all of a sudden lead right to the face! Should have used that head movement lol.
Please do not compare a past prime Oscar to the Prime Ray Leonard that we are talking about. Leonard would tag him with the jab and then unload faster combo's that anybody that Floyd has ever faced, Oscar at 34 or even in his prime is not on Ray's level. :good Have I seen Floyd fight? Well yes yes I have :rofl. Irritaing groupie. I have seen all of his fights bar some of the first ones at 130 :good. Ray was obviously faster. Not p4p. But at 147 its pretty blatent that Ray has the faster single shots or combinations. Man he did not start tagging Ricky Hatton till the 6th round with those mythical lead rights. Hatton is woefully defensively inept. Ray is not he would be able to avoid them :good
you need to find a new sport, for most of us, nothing pleases us as much as a good fight. stick to your mtv cribs.
i think theres really 2 questions here in terms of a boxing CAREER (legacy, resume, impact on the sport), there is absolutely no question that ray leonard's accomplishments are leagues beyond what floyd has done in terms of actual physical ability and technique, i think it's a lot closer than what some people on here have suggested... if a prime ray leonard and a prime floyd fought at 147 i think ray leonard wins because of his naturally larger size... but i think it would be a very interesting high speed chess match
Well said Relentless. |Despite all the greif you get for being a **** at times at least your a boxing fan first and foremost :good Not a ****ing groupie.
Yeah, people are obsessed with resumes and all that jive. Okay, Benitez wasn't that similar in style to Mayweather( PBF alot more movement and basically alot better) but he was one of the few fighters Leonard fought that engaged him in a thinking man's fight. if he did that with Mayweather i would make Mayweather favourite. It would all come down to how hard leonard would find it to land cleanly on Mayweather. All these guys predicting TKO's yet Mayweather hasn't gone down in his life and never really looked out of his comfort zone, apart from a few seconds against Corley.
