He hasn't fought anyone of Leonard's level, but I havent seen anything which suggests he can't adjust to someone of Leonard's class. Especially when you consider he seems to win most of his fights barely getting out of 2nd or 3rd gear.

He has struggled with lower opposition; Hatton fight was even after 6 rounds (not in terms of score) just how the fight was going, he nearly lost to Castillo in their first fight and a past his prime De La Hoya won 5 rounds against him

    What makes you say that?

It's just an impression I get and I think most people get as well.

I agree that Mayweather tries that same tactic of coming on strong late a bit too often to know for sure whether it is completely deliberate or whether Mayweather can't physically get off until the last six rounds.

I'm not sure he could afford to give Leonard the early rounds like he has done in his last few fights but hey, the same tactic might work against Leonard as it might against all fighters. it sounds very basic but fighters know beforehand what is going to happen and still can't deal with it when Mayweather turns up the heat.

Leonard has great stamina though so I doubt he would gas in the latter rounds.

hatton fight WAS NOT even, pbf was beating him all over the place, and i think oscar de la hoya will even give ray leonard a tough fight.

If Floyd has 2 more impressive victories (i.e. Cotto and Williams or even DLH2) I think we can start an argument for him being greater than SRL. For now, I gotta go with Sugar Ray.

Even if he beats Margo, Williams and Cotto there still wouldn't be any argument IMO

So you dont like what you hear.
    Too bad.
    Hearsns was better.
    Hagler was better.
    Duran was better.
    Mayweather --- much much better.
    Period.

Apparently you wouldnt know the truth, if it knocked you out:good

The facts are Floyd in no way measures up in accomplishments and go watch the Mayweather Sr. fight again, its as close a preview as what would happen to Floyd as is possible.:yep

SRL was the truth, Floyd hides from the truth.

    What ?

Better movement than Benitez ? What the hell are you talking about. Benitez at WW would kick Gayweather all over the ring.

They didnt call him the radar for nothing.

Go back to watching mtv cribs

Benitez's craftyness and defensive ability was amplified cause he was so average at everything else. Mayweather would UD him all day long.

    You kids crack me up...

The fact that he is better defensively (arguably Benitez was better though) doesn't mean much. You need to be able to put your punches together to win fights. Leonard would have seriously outworked him. Floyd would have gone into a defensive shell.

Leonard beats Duran 2 out 3, and a lot more convincingly than Duran beat him. He beats Hagler at Hagler's weight. He beat Hearns by TKO, Hearns arguably beat him by Decision. His resume eclipses them all. Mayweather? Your arguments suck, you suck as a poster.

Floyd was slower than Leonard because he didn't move as fast. Any more ******ed questions? We're talking at 147, not P4P, such as the Floyd at 130. The "best hit to not get hit ratio"? Perhaps because he is making guys like Bruseles, Gatti, N'Dou, etc miss, and his best opponents are an old DLH. Again, I'd take a prime Oscar over Floyd at 147.

The best of our generation? Maybe 2nd or 3rd best. I'll take the guy who had coke problems over the wife-beater anyday.:good

Whitaker beats him at ANY weight, Benitez and Leonard beat him at 147 or 154.
