    Mayweather is the best boxer fighting today. He has great talent and is, p4p, one of the top half dozen ever.

    But I have Leonard in that group too, and Leonard was bigger and stronger than we have seen Floyd be, so far. I have no doubt that at welterwt and above (which is where Leonard fought), he would defeat Floyd. So head-to-head,it's Leonard.

    By resume, Leonard fought better competition. Duram, Hearns, Hagler, and Benitez, just for starters. So by resume, at this point, it's Leonard.

    I would revisit the question if Floyd beats Cotto, Williams, Winky and Pavlik. IMO, he would win two of those, one would be 50/50, and one would about 25 %. If he does that, I might consider him to be the best of that half dozen ever.

    Actually Ray was a bit more of a tougher gritty character in his prime, Mayweather never saw a tough side of life in actuallity where as Ray grew up in a more hungry time for fighters and working class people in America, he knew what money was really worth where Floyd has no concept.. Ray is the better equipped guy to cope with all aspects of boxing.. ie.. handling a loss, adjusting to far better fighters to obtain victory, things Floyd never ever would have to meet in todays era.. Floyd would be quite overlooked in Rays era and when push came to shove he wouldn't have the character to cope with it...

    Thats the truth...

    So thats the best you can do ?????
    Because we disagree.

    Leonard --- with all that pitter patter shoeshine **** --- doesnt impress.
    Now if that rocks your boat --- good for you.

    he stopped benitez,hearns and kalule amongst others shoeshining.
    his punches against hagler look shoeshined because haglers head is granite;
    it would take valuev with a baseball bat to ko Hagler.
    a lot of top MW'S would have been ko'd by leonards punches that night.
