I'm a huge fan of Chico, but let's be honest, he was very limited. He didn't know how to use his reach, box off the backfoot, was only good at countering and on the inside when fighter came to him, and didn't know how to cut off the ring.

Corrales 5'10.5", started his career at 130 went up to welter and got smashed by Clottey.

Pacquiao is 5'6", won his first title at flyweight, went up to welter and smashed Clottey. I think Pac would say Barrera was better than Clottey.

I was a big corrales fan and i feel corrales at 130 pounds regardless if he's weight drain or not would have beat a prime much smaller barrera. Did ppl forget junior jones who was 2 inch taller then barrera ko barrera in reality in the first fight and then won a decision because jones use his reach especially with a jab and again jones wasnt even known as a power puncher but he ko barrera. Now imagine a 5'10 or 5'11 corrales would do if he lands 1 big power punch on a much smaller barrera at 130 pounds? Barrera got skills no doubt but he aint slick like mayweather is and he aint as fast like mayweather is. Corrales would walk down barrera and you just said corrales is a good counter puncher so if barrera comes in? He gets counter.

 

Corrales is massively overrated though.

 

Yup he is very limited. The thing going for him at 130 is only his size and power. The moment he fought a guy his size like clottey, we knew what happened.
