Corrales was a very good fighter but MAB was great. It's sad Diego lost his life and never finished his career, but he was never on Barrera's level. Diego had some quality wins but his fights with JLC defined his career due to how epic their 1st encounter was.......but it also showed the level he was at in terms of his legacy.

 

In career level of course barrera had a better career but if those 2 fought in their primes at 130 pounds? Barrera has no chance vs a much bigger, taller with better pop in corrales.

 

What makes you think Chico was drained? Oh, he fought Floyd, or Merchant mustv'e said so lol.

One thing I am proud about Barrera was that he did rematches. Pac didn't rematch Torrecampo or Singsurat.

Even when Junior Jones knocked MAB's **** in, he fought him again and lost and MAB still has your respect.

atsch Stop being stupid. Look at the size between barrera and corrales in their primes? Dont be re****ed. A prime barrera would have no chance in hell to beat a prime much taller, much bigger, bigger pop in Corrales. Barrera would have trouble with corrales bigger size.

 

H2H anything could have happened. Diego was tall, rangy and had power in both hands but MAB technically was superior. MAB had more dimensions......the power of Corrales always made him dangerous but he was susceptible for getting KO'd himself. I'd favor a prime MAB over Diego 9 times out of 10.....that 1 time Diego wins is of course by knockout because he wouldn't have been able to outbox Barrera.

 

^^He doesnt but so what? Barrera in his prime never face a fighter with 6'0 with huge pops like corrales before. Junior Jones doesnt have a big pop ko barrera. Like i said imagine if corrales lands on barrera? What then?

 

^^^Yeah corrales in his prime lost to two fighters that didnt cheat on the scale in very slick casa and mayweather while his 3 big wins was against frietas, casa rematch and castillo. Barrera aint slick with speed like a casa and doesnt have the pop like castillo. Barrera in his prime would be way too small for a much bigger, taller power punch of corrales.
