    They're about the same.

The thing is that Pac is not fighting at his best division. I still think he is at his best at 122 to 126. MAB, JMM and Morales all look bigger than him.

Calzaghe on the other hand is at his best weight. Plus the fact that aside fro a handful of guys there is nobody at 168 who is a real threat to JC.

PAC got better opponents and accomplishments so there no doubt he must be no. 2 perhaps quality of opponents will make boxers carreer shorten and in that dept PAC is way ahead of Joe, what is the use of skill if you not use it against elite fighters...

We can't tell who is the best.

Pacquiao brought his power up to SF and now to LW(yet to be proven). He clearly successfully did it. He has the power and speed.

But clearly Calzaghe is in a different division which is much higher than Pacquiao could ever attain. Calzaghe is fighting the big tough guys, there's no denying he could hit more than Pacman.

For me I just say that Pacquiao is great on his own division while Calazghe is great also in his own division.

Without his speed, Pacquiao has nothing going for him, as he's not a great technical boxer, can't box for **** off the backfoot, and the majority of his power comes from his speed.

Calzaghe really has lost a good deal of his speed from his lower days, it's his versatility that does it for him. His craftiness on the inside, his relentless attack, and his boxing skills are good enough to get him by even without his speed. He is still a fast fighter, but clearly not as much as he once was.

Calzaghe would still have success, though not as much, as his speed plays into his ability to swarm in and out, box, etc. Pacquiao would be finished.

Bull****. His speed is the thing that may allow his other attributes to overcome Hopkins superior textbook technique, prime for prime.

That fight may well be considered 50/50 prime for prime, and I'm willing to debate this with Amsterdam if he shows up. I see advantages for both men.

gee this is a tough one:lol:  Pac's fought 3 Mexican legends a total of 7 times
Calzaghe has 3 good names on his resume:deal So it's difficult to have a serious discussion about who is better espescially when many posters on here use Joes ballsweat for drinking water.....all to sad really:-(

    This is easy

Joe can do everything, front foot, back foot, sideways, it doesn't matter. He can win a fight with his jab, see Kessler. He can brawl. p4p he's faster.

Pac as good as he is, is nowhere near as adaptable. He basically has one style

Me and him still often have good debates, as we've respected each other for a while. He only does that to the general public here, for a number of reasons.

Calzaghe is the more well rounded and versitle boxer who can adapt to more styles.

Calzaghe is the better fighter out of the two.
