HOW anyone can compare a fighter who has fought in a poor weight division (super Middle) in on his own turf owning FRANK WARRENS belt (WBO), a guy who has never beaten a P4P fighter. How can you compare him to PACMAN 3 weight divisions, fights away from home in the LIONS Den against P4P opposition.

CALZAGHE is soooo overated its untrue!!

GIFT DECISION ....he lost to ROBIN REID been down against bogus Karibi SALEM, hes never fought a p4P fighter, hes fought at home, hes defended the title 20 times, yet never defending any of hos notable tittle (IBF WBC or WBA) relinquishing them, rather than fight abroad.

The guy is not in the same stratophere to MANNY.

Calzaghe only recently has developed the balls to fight Hopkins because he even admits, HOPKINS is an old man.

This dude wouldnt of had a legacy fighting when JONES, TONEY, COLLINS BENN , NUNN were around,,,,he would have been in the mix with fringe guys like Reggie Johnson etc.

He clearly beat Reid in a close fight. Believe it or not, the inexperienced Calzaghe actually gassed himself trying to stop Reid early and then paid the price until he rallied late.

No way Reid won, he got 5 rounds clean and didn't come close to taking any more.

Yeah, he's out of the atmosphere completely in that case, 1 D Pac can't compare to brilliant ring tacticians.

Why'd they try to get him in 2002 then? Had a contract and everything that Hopkins dropped after reconsidering.

Disagree, I think he beats all of them but Jones, a lot of people feel the same way as well.

M8, I respect your counter opinions they disagree with me totally. But you are respectfull and theoretical with your reply. I can accept that, unlike some guys in here who just call me idiot for my threads.

pac is tested. Calzaghe will just be tested by an old HOF man. Pac's a Multi weight champ. Calzaghe's just trying for the 1st time to win one outside his weight class. Pac makes elite fighter looks shot & old. Pac definitely is P4P better.

I agree with the above, Manny Can say he fought "GREAT" fighters in his ERA.
Not only fought them BEAT them away from home.

Calzaghe has never fought on Manny's P4P opposition level. He had many an opportunity, but he wouldnt fight away from home or he wouldnt take the short change. He never fought out of his division. He opted to hold on to his WBO title.

Do you think Manny would do the same thing??? we know this Phillapino has balls.

this was one of my points, calzaghe has been champ since 1997 but never dared to step up in competition or chase where the big money fights are. He didn't even unify the titles, ottke collected 2 of the belts during his reign. RJJ in his prime was criticized for his poor competition, were calzaghe could have move up in that division

Technical boxing skills, Calzaghe. Better fighter?...you could make a case for Calzaghe as he is undefeated, but then again, who has he beaten?

Could he have looked good and remained undefeated fighting the type of wars Pac has fought against the elites, future HOF and P4P fighters. Could Calzaghe have won belts going up in his weight?

...but then again, I don't think Manny could've just fought in the Philippines, or stay in just one division or to defend one belt for 22 times.

  12. Correction:

He won - as Reid himself stated WITH a fractured hand too!!

Well, let's get real now, how many P4P fighters has Calzaghe faced? Answer: NONE.

How many has Pacquiao faced. Answer: A handful.

So doesn't that already answer the question?
