Dirrell is faster and a harder hitter but also is more straight up and down. Dawson is more fluid and has a wider, more balance base, so he can fight the way Dirrell did against Abraham without putting himself in danger.

Dawson is 27 years old and has five wins over top five opponents. His bout against Pascal will be his fifth consecutive against an opponent ranked in the top five.

Chad has his flaws, too, but he's one of the most criminally under-appreciated fighters in the sport.

 

both skilled fighters,but neither will ever capture the general boxing fans attention.as they lack the warrior instinct.

 

I dont think people underrate him. He is good, and would probably beat Dirrell right now. He is just so goofy and ridiculous that people have no interest in seeing him.

Dirrell has a million times higher upside if he continues his development. And I believe he will beat Dawson clearly and easily in a couple of years.

 

Dawson and it isnt even close. Dirrell is extremely gifted with speed and reflexes but when it comes to SKILLS he's very sloppy and amatuerish. Dawson on the other hand isnt.
