Errol Spence would outclass both of them.

Easily Alvarez, because he's a Mexican fighter living in the US.

I would have added Chris Eubank Jr to the list. He's gonna be huge.

I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.

Only me believing it doesn't make it so.

Being disliked isn't an issue to become a cross over star. Mayweather is disliked more than he's liked.

He best be prepared to throw said towel in before the bell rings if they ever put him in with a live body.

In terms of being a crossover star in the U.S. ... This:good

Very few casual sports fans have seen Deontay Wilder fight. He's been buried primarily on Showtime undercards.

Americans like big, intimidating, knockout-inducing heavyweights.

There was an interview with him last week where he mentioned someone saw him in an airport and asked if he was Lebron James. And the interviewer said maybe sometime next year people will be asking Lebron if he's Deontay Wilder.

    I think that's the goal.

U.S. boxing fans who came up with the sport in the last 20 years - when the little guys dominated the scene - never experienced first-hand how casual fans really get behind top heavyweights (because we didn't have any).

Wilder can become that guy in the next few years with network television exposure.

Expect to see him on national television in July, and maybe two more times before the end of the year, depending on how long his fights last.

It won't be a small fighter like Floyd Mayweather again. Mayweather had to go undefeated for nearly 15 years before he got to this level. And that image of the female tennis player towering over him was a PR disaster as far as his "tough-guy" persona goes. Everyone who meets him talks about how "tiny" he is in real life. That doesn't tend to work in the U.S. when it comes to big athletic crossover stars.
