Chad Dawson if he fights more often and fights meaningful fights
Eddie chambers if he beats Wladimir Klitschko.

Cant see Chambers winning but if he did Haye vs Chambers would be a huge fight because the American public can relate to it

  9. I honestly don't see anyone on the horizon. There isn't another Floyd, Oscar, or Manny out there; not even close.

Williams and Dawson will be first, I think.

Ward and and Bradley will follow.

Then we have a SHITLOAD of prospects to pick form. I think we're entering another great age of boxing.

seriously though, Ward looks like he could be a star, especially if he wins the super 6. And considering that SMW is looking like such a loaded division right now. Lots of star making fights in SMW I think. And since a lot of the top SMWs are not American, they could probably take on a US vs other countries angle to make Ward more of a star in the US.

if only he wasn't dumb enough to have Victor Conte rubbing shoulders with him :-(

I think one other thing people should consider when picking the next stars for boxing is how loaded the division(s) the fighter is fighting at are. Otherwise you would be stuck with a Klitschko type of situation, talented fighters in a weak division.

If Williams really can still make WW and still move up to MW, it bodes well for him since he will have the change to have more fights against top opposition.

david haye, andre ward, andre dirrell, juan manuel lopez, nonito donaire, amir khan, lucian bute, and kelly pavlik if he fights and beats the winner of williams/martinez. if he doesn't fight the winner of that fight or he loses, his career is pretty much done.

I agree with you on Canelo as he exhibits excellent defensive and countering skills. Plus he has knockout power. However, on Chavez Jr I would agree with you if he would jab more and fight tall. Victor Ortiz seems like damaged goods.
