Pavlik lost because he was slower. Period. No matter what weight he would weigh, he would still be slower than B-Hop.

    Thoughts?

Pavlik is the bigger man to begin with. If anything the weight should have helped him.

It's not the weight, Hopkins is just better. He's more experienced, has better overall atributes and has faced lots of great competition through the years...he's seen it all.

Pavlik just doesn't have enough to his game to beat B-Hop at any weight, his is a very basic fighter who has got by on power alone.

Its a factor, just that. But any version of Hopkins schools any version of Pavlik at any weight.

I argued round and round with a poster here about Kelly not being able to carry his power up but he wouldn't listen.

He better stay at 160, because all he has is power, at 168 Calslappy would have beat the **** out of him, and I don't even wanna talk about him fighting RJJ or Dawson at LHW :-(

Pavlik got confused and befuddled by the extra theatre that Hopkins threw at him. Weight or nothing.

I was cheering for pavlik but weight had nothing to due with the loss. Pavlik didn't win with speed he won by throwing a lot of punches. Hopkins out classed him tonight. It's that simple.

He was lucky to face this version, the one Tito fought in 01 would have stopped him in IMO.

weight has something to do with it, that was his fault. Plus Hops was extra fast and used the ring masterfully. Kelly's youth didnt matter. Bravo hops!

Not me, no way. Pavlik is a bug dude, he carries that weight easily.

They can move down and fight at 160 now and it would stil be the same outcome.

Instead of trying to find excuses for Pavlik losing people should just accept the fact that he was beaten by the better man.
