I think more people would say Plant if it hadn't happened right after the Saunders win.

Derevyanchenko is better than Plant and Saunders.

Kovalev is the most accomplished fighter and the only ATG on the list
    Fielding always was nothing special
    Jacobs is over
Smith is too inactive. But I don't see him beating Bivol or Beterbiev.
    Saunders is done
    Plant is mediocre

Too bad he’s never proven it, given that you know…he never beat a champ or won a championship. His best performances are participation awards against Golovkin and Jacobs. Good fighter but Sergy just never pulled through

    ok my bad.
    2-3 times a year.
With a mandatory & a stay busy fight each of those years.

Most active fighter in the sport either way.

    3-4 times a year? He’s fought 3 times in a year once since 2012.

He fights twice a year with one exception in the last decade where he fought 3 times and one exception where he fought once

So he fought 20 times in 10 years and you somehow think this means he fights more than twice a year

All he has to do is fight again this November/December frame, as he's been doing for the last 3 years in a row, and yes he will indeed be said to fight more than twice a year. Again he already fought 4 times under one year from December 2020 to November 2021, and similarly before that. 2020 being the only weak year due to Covid

Jacobs. Lots thought he was going to get outboxed. Cotto, Kovalev. His resume is quite deep.

You seem confused. Canelo fights twice per year.
    2013: 2 fights
    2014: 2 fights
    2015: 2 fights
    2016: 2 fights
    2017: 2 fights
    2018: 2 fights
    2019: 2 fights
    2020: 1 fight
    2021: 3 fights
2022: 1 fight so far with another scheduled for September.

Canelo fights in May and September unless something like an injury or COVID derails those plans. He fights twice a year… if someone has 20 fights over a 10 year period and sometimes 3 or 4 of those occur in under a 12 month period what do you think the counter side of that equation is? I’ll let you work it out.

Am I the only one who thought Kovalev looked pretty good until he got clipped?

Again, I don't care about calendar years... I care about actual length of time in between fights. From September 2018 to May 2019, he fought 3 times. And then later that year he fought Kovalev in November, which meant he fought 4 times in a little over a year. Forget about his previous records, that's going back more than half a decade. What matters is now, with the exception of covid year...Canelo is indeed fighting consistently. Canelo has been fighting in November/December timeframe for the last 3 years in a row, make it 4 later this year if he does the same. So its more than just May or September.
