Wow he's the one who PULLED OUT of the fight because of an "injury" yet you say Dawson has been ducking him?? Now you know damn well if Dawson pulled out with an injury you'd be saying he pulled out cause he was scared. You people are hypocrites.

Why? Are you suggesting it was not a bona fide injury? In that case, why would Diaconu chase him month after month, if he were scared?

Only reason why Dawson signed to fight Diaconu is becaus he couldn't get Tarver to agree to fight him. Had Tarver agreed, Dawson would have ducked Diaconu and fought Tarver instead - just like he did with Johnson. The fact that he tried to have Diaconu's mandatory status revoked time after time proved that he didn't want to fight him, not even the first time around. But he was forced. Couldn't get a big fight and the WBC were forcing him to fight his mandatory. Diaconu pulled out, giving up $400k, due to a bona fide hand injury. Had he thought he couldn't win at all, he would have just taken the money and fought with the injury, right?

yes, dawson is ducking diaconue to fight Tarver and Johnson.

Also, Sugar Ray Leonard ducked Pryor to fight Hearns and Hagler, Hatton ducked Witter to fight Floyd, Taylor ducked Sturm to fight Pavlik, and Pacquaio ducked Valero to face Marquez.

Yeah I'm not down on the whole Dawson ducked Diacnou thing, especially when it was Diacnou who pulled out of a SIGNED and SEALED fight, legitimate injury or not.

Was Witter Hatton's mandatory? Had he been mandated to fight him by his sanctioning body and reneged on the deal, repeatedly? See...big difference! Hatton is avoiding Witter; Dawson has been ducking Diaconu.

As much as it might be tiresome to read this time after time, from me, I shall keep on saying it, because it's the truth, whether it's confortable to hear this truth or not.

And, as Jesus used to say: "The truth shall set you free!";)

    :-(

Dawson ducked a fighter he SIGNED to fight? Whether or not it was a legitimate injury or not, Dawson was prepared to fight him. He wasn't the one who pulled out of the fight.

That's neither here nor there. He signed to fight him. Great. After Diaconu came back from him injury and was reinstated as mandatory and Dawson was told to fight him, he refused and kept on refusing...how would you describe that?

Pissed off for training for a fight and having a guy pull out. And wanting to get his name in the mix by fighting other bigger names.

It's pretty hard when most hardcore boxing enthusiasts (maybe less after last weekend) rate him as the best light heavyweight in the world, despite only the hardcore fans knowing him.
