Well...unless Dawson fight the winner of Diaconu v. Henry within the next 110 days or so, he'll get stripped of his WBC title. So...he might fight Tarver, but he'd have to fight Tarver an Diaconu v. Henry winner within the next 110 days to keep the WBC belt. Otherwise, he'll get stripped and would fight the winner of Diaconu v. Henry in a unification match, if he beats Tarver.

Why would Dawson get stripped of his belt for having ducked Diaconu only to fight him later on, for the unified belt? Surely, it makes more sense to beat him when his your mandatory/Interim Champ and then, having beaten him, to unify the belts against Tarver, right?:huh

Nah...if Dawson drops that belt, he won't fight Diaconu after Tarver.

Ducking is used very common around here. I agree with you on how did he duck him but he already signed to fight him. It makes no sense.

Big sign, but still don't know him.
Is he on the undercard of tonight's Wednesday Night fights?

Let me help you. "Ducking" to most people implies fear. It shouldn't. You can duck someone because risk/reward wise, it makes no sense, without fearing him. Dawson agreed to fight Diaconu, IN THE END. It wasn't easy to get him to agree to fight his mandatory, even after a couple of threats from the WBC, because Dawson was chasing Tarver. Anyway, he signed in the end, when Tarver continued to avoid him. Then, when Diaconu came back, Dawson started ducking him, because he was chasing a fight against Johnson, which actually got made. It's as simple as that.

Come on man that makes no sense at all.. He "ducked" Diaconu to fight Johnson.. Johnson is the way better fighter and proven fighter. He is one of the top fighters in the light heavy division. And Tarver is one of the top fighters of the light heavy division so how can you say he's ducking Diaconu to fight either of them? Now if you said he was fighting Joe Shmo then you MIGHT have an argument but it's not ducking when you're fighting the better fighters.

Tarver is one of the biggest names in the sport and a fight Dawson has been seeking for awhile now. Plus, everyone knew coming in last weekend that the winner of the two bouts would face each other

It doesn't matter how bad Diaconu is or how good Tarver/Johnson are. That is immaterial as to whether or not ducking took place.

Diaconu might not be as good as those two, but he is more dangerous, and despite giving Dawson a career high payday (more money than either Tarver or Johnson would give him), Diaconu is a worse risk/reward for Dawson than Johnson or Tarver. This is why it made sense for Dawson to duck Diaconu.

Everyone except the WBC who will strip Dawson's ass, if he doesn't unify the WBC belt with the Interim Champ to be decided this Saturday.;)

Considering he was going to fight him in the first place I still don't considering that "ducking" him. Get got injured and pulled out so Dawson wanted to go on to bigger and better things.

Ok for one Dawson would definetly not make more fighting Diaconu then he would Tarver that's a fact. Diaconu just fought recently on friggin ESPN! And I don't think Diaconu is more dangerous then Tarver at all. Diaconu knocked out BUMS.. Tarver knocked out Roy jones jr and beat alot of the top light heavies including Johnson. I think Dawson is looking to bigger and better things. Diaconu had his chance to fight Dawson and got "injured" so Dawson is moving on why should he take a step back? Makes no sense
