Nobody is ducking here, the fight will be made eventually with both fighters having more time to prepare for the biggest fight of their career. I would rather see this fight with both fighters at their best. I say give them time, if Pac didn't fight Mayweather in 2010... then call him whatever name you want.
maybe roach but pacquiao never agreed to fight on march, and hbo and arum are the ones suggested the fight to be in may..atsch but don't you floydboys worry, your boi fraud will have his ass spanked in no time..
Look, im not a big fan of the term "DUCKING" however if Pac and his team knew that Pac was going to run for office then why even start talks??? Here is the gamble that Team Pac took, start talks and Floyd wouldnt agree, or he would make it hard for the fight to take place, they could then say forget it floyd wont agree to fight us, this allowing him to fight Foreman for another title at another catchweight, and then go into the race with the highest profile. But if he fights Floyd and loses believe it or not it would cost him votes. So is Pac scared to fight Floyd?? I dont think so, Manny has always fought like he has nothing to lose. Are they avoiding a fight with floyd??? NO ****ing doubt they dont want to fight floyd right now, and the plan blew up in thier faces.
This ain't Floyd's best fight of his career..............if they actually meet your jaw will drop how easily Mayweather is gonna handle Pac. Mayweather is business first and boxing later, he knows "legacy" and "Hall of fame ATG" mean jack**** if you are broke or can't remember your name because you are so ****ing punch drunk. Floyd knows that Margarito would have done **** at the box office, Cotto slightly better but both of them would have been no home runs despite he would have been the clear favorite. So here comes the Filipino, carefully matched with tailormade opponenents,BS catchweights, properly hyped like he can walk on water , would KO SRR in one and so on and the press and fans go bananas and what a surprise, Mayweather yells, yeah thats my home run fight with little risk and the huge rewards he is looking for., books the Marquez fight to further make a point..........lets get it on. You know that something is up when Mayweather agrees to something almost immediatly.............no posing whatsoever.............his dad already starting the trash talking aka selling the fight and they literally beg for the fight. You guys got played like a fiddle.............Roach already knows it and that is the reason they wanna buy some time to milk the cow some more because it won't give as much once Mayweather is done with him.
Although I think the part about the gamble team Pac took seems like pure speculation, it does make sense that Pac doesn't want to risk the election by taking a very risky fight against Floyd before the May elections. It doesn't mean Pac is ducking Floyd though, I just think Pac is taking the elections very seriously and doesn't want to jeopardize it at this point.
I reject the either/or proposition you put forth. Nobodies ducking. Floyd wants the fight cause of the money. PAC actually has other things going on in his life but will fight whoever is viable.
Yeah I get the impression boxing is down the list of PAC's agenda. Number 1 is obviously the lord and then there is his country, which is the main reason he fights.
That is the problem here. Pac is hard pressed to run for office. Especially since he lost in the last election. I really think that their fight will be scheduled around Sept or October next year. Unless Floyd will lose to Matthew Hatton in his UK blockbuster fight then all bets are off.
Never in my life would I have thought that a poll on ESB regarding who is ducking who, Floyd or Pac, would have Pac leading by over half with over 100 votes (funny how so many people voted "no one" - I'm sure most of them would have voted for Floyd if the circumstances were the opposite). I'm still out of the loop with the recent developments though, and for the life of me can't find them on the net (haven't tried too hard to be honest). So - can someone let me know what's the most recent development? Has Floyd agreed to terms with Arum and signed a contract, leaving it in Manny's hands?
Floyd has agreed to the terms, hasn't signed anything. Arum was/is supposed to talk to Pacquaio today in the Philippines. There's no official word yet.
Why would he be hard pressed? The country has shown they DONT want him in office just cause he's done great as a boxer.
Whether or not you want to use the term "ducking"......Floyd called his bluff, and it worked.....Floyd and his team knew pacquiao would backout if pacquiao was serious about politics.....and pacquiao backed out.....takes all the heat off of floyd for the next fews months, until pacquiao gets done with his political adeventure...perception is now pacquiao is the one that said no gracias...
