Who is faster, Oscar de la Hoya or Manny Pacquiao?

the DLH at 135 seems to have the same speed as pac..but currently pac is more obviously faster

Just because he's smaller and lighter doesn't mean his hands are quicker.

 

Pacquiao is faster. I don't think the higher weight will affect his speed to much.
Prime Oscar would of been a good match up. speed wise.

 

Pac is faster than most at the moment. But Hoya is still fast enough to land cleanly on anyone who's name is not Mayweather Jr.

 

Also much of Pac's speed will be diminished going up in weight if a fight with Hoya is ever made. Pac is still open to a fighter's left hand he just has not fought anyone that takes enough advantage of it.

 

Pacquiao but dont ever sleep on DLHs speed even now hes got great handspeed its slowed a bit but hes still got a great aresenal of skills like his jab,the body combos,the power,the hand speed,the rocket left hook,his chin.

 

true it doesn't matter at all if pac has the faster handspeed. DLH still has fast hands and pac is no mayweather, he's going to take those shots.

 

And they will hurt him bad. JMM had Pac stunned 3-4 times in March and JMM isnt even considered a great 130 puncher. DLH possesses that rocket left hook and it will land frequently on the very small man. One thing that makes this fight easy for DLH besides size is Pacquiaos horrible balance Oscar can keep shooting that jab all night and Pac will be all over the ring. Everyones like oh he couldnt KO Steve Forbes listen Forbes isnt as good as Pacquiao is but his defense is and the guys hard to hit clean he basically went into a shell and did alot of upperbody movement when Oscar let his hands go basically giving him nothing.

 

Manny is much much faster right now, and prime for prime Pacquiao is also fsster as he's the smaller of the two men so it makes sense that he would be a little quicker.

 

I still think oscar has the edge over him in single punch handspeed. Hoyas Jab is very fast and his combos aren't very far behind. Other than that I think Pac is faster in every other department but he's not very far ahead in speed against ODLH like he was against Diaz.
