Shane Mosley in speed, But Wright has Defense on lock. (Sometimes speed alone don't always work, ask Shane)
Definately mosely his handspeed even though he' s not considered in past is invicible best is still pretty damn fast look what he did to marg.
i think that this question was somewhat poorly defined because of the natural, physical speed pick up that comes of measuring the speed of a 154-pound prime against a 135-pound prime. however, the obvious answer is that shane was notably faster. however, it would, in general, take comparing a very fast 154 pounder like a young kassim ouma to a really slow lightweight like david diaz, not accounting for the quality of the fighter, to offset the natural order. most lightweights, just based on the physical boundaries of the weight class are going to be quicker. and shane was a super-fast lightweight, while winky was a quicker-than-average-but-not-exceptionally-fast junior middle at his speediest...so, what do you think? winky fought the vast majority of his career and his peak years at 154-pounds, which is, naturally, where he hit the upward limit of his speed somewhere between 1994 and 1997...interestingly enough, winky's speed peaked long before his veteran cool tempered his skills into the complete package we think of when we think of wright the tricky, fundamentally solid, defensively brilliant counterpuncher. shane was probably at his quickest between 1997 and 1999 when he was running circles around the lightweight division before moving up to welter and chasing those de la hoya dollars up to 154-pounds. the answer to this one seems, really, to require very little discussion beyond restating the basic physio-athletic logic of boxing.
True, i mean speed kills, but so does defence and and counterpunching definately mosely kryptonite was winky.
Shane is past his best. Don't let that win over a limited guy like Margo who he could beat to the punch all nigh who has no jab and stands right in front of you fool you. Hell Shane looked like at times like Pea Whitaker the way he was countering and making Margo miss that tells you all you need to know. Shane always has problems with boxers and PBF would be no different. Not to mention if he can't even beat Cotto he can't beat PBF.
I thought Mosley won it by a round, but I dont think that tells us of how he would do against PBF. Not that PBF is gonna take the fight.
Maybe he was talking about a prime LW Mosley vs a prime SFW Mayweather Jr. I think he would give Mayweather Jr. more than he could handle.
