As much as Crawford impressed me, Inoue easily.

Lomachenko would have been FOTY if he wasn't robbed. At 35 he regains the LW throne against a much younger and larger opponent. Inoues wins are solid, but we all knew he was going to smoke both guys. Lomas robbed win over Haney was by far the most impressive boxing performance in 2023. Inoue is obviously the FOTY in this unfair boxing timeline, but it SHOULD be Loma.

    Tim Tszyu.

Became World Champion. Defended it. Made the '' Champ '' go into hiding. After he bitched out.

I've never seen a 4 belt champion run, duck, hide and quit. Jumped, Finally flee.

Tszyu had 3 big wins this year including a contender for KO of the year.

Most of the names in the poll have done almost nothing that comes close to what Tszyu has done.

Its debatable given Ngannou arguably scored a KD in round 8 and Fury should have lost a point to an illegal elbow.

They should name Inoue FOTY Emeritus so they can give the Regular FOTY title to the poor 2nd hand chaps beneath him.

Crawford is great, but his demolition job on Spence is greatly diminished by the fact that his opponent was shot and looking to be in early stages of a neuro degenerative disease. It makes the same statement as AJ getting the KTFO against Wilder in 2024 - thanks, but fight should have happened ages ago and currently doesn’t definitively answer who's better(I thought it's AJ all along but that's just my opinion).
For example I think prime Larry Holmes is better than prime Ali, but that's just me speculating as surely beating his walking corpse didn't prove that.
With all that said Inoue for me. If Crawford had destroyed a pre-crash Spence(which I think he would have) then Bud would do it for me, but context is everything.

Everyone trippin on the Spence win. Dude was KTFO'd in a car accident, and lucky to be alive. And yet peeps were thinkin he'd be the same guy in the ring vs. Crawford. Insane. And I'm not takin anything away from Bud, cuz he did exactly what he had to do.
