All things considered, it’s Inoue by some distance from the others. If you look at things as a plain fact on paper, Haney did get the two best wins of the year.

100% agree he wouldn’t have won but he’d probably have been worthy of inclusion over a few others.

    No biggie man. All good.

It has to be either Inoue or Crawford in all honestly,I’m going with Crawford for the sole reason he’s one of my favourite fighters .

A lot what happens nowadays is theFighters get niggles with the probability been higher In the big fights/fighters. They need 3 month just to recuperate sometimes, even longer if they get an "Injury" .
I know they were the same back in the day but physio, rehab, & longevity all stake a claim in this day n age.

Interestingly, everyone who took part in The Ring Magazine Fight Picks for Inoue vs Tapales had Inoue winning via KO

    19-0 in Inoue's favour

And for J-Park vs The Dosser everyone picked The Dosser to win, all bar one via KO, and only one person picked J-Park, again via KO

    18-1 The Dosser

Not that it changes anything regarding Inoue deserving FOTY but it's an interesting bit of trivia

Haney lost to a super featherweight!!!
    Typically American stereotype robbery.

Inoue will also get robbed as soon as he fights an American in the states

    Wow this forum hates Crawford.

He could move up and beat Canelo and you guys will find any excuse to not give him credit.
