i am positive that this version of casa that jmm fought would be stopped by diaz in the later rounds lagging in scorecards. casa would not match up to david diaz stamina as of present.

Bernard Hopkins fought a competitive fight with Joe Calzaghe and some people thought he won, from that list he is not THE most past it. Im going to say RJJ.

The same Diaz who lost (at least on my card) to Morales? A 29 yr old completely put out to pasture shot Morales?

    Come on now.

yes, the same david diaz who stopped santa cruz who should have won against this version of casamayor. casamayor tires quickly in respect to his opponents workrate. we saw that in the katsidis fight. and we saw that yesterday thus resulted in his ko. castillo, corrales and freitas cannot stop a prime casa.

David Diaz beat Santa Cruz who beat Joel Casamayor who beat Chico Corrales who beat Jose Luis Castillo so as we see Diaz>Chico

Diaz is nothing more than a B- fighter, the kind of fighter who Casamayor would've eaten alive even at his current shape. Diaz doesn't have Katsidis' recouperative abilities and/or power so Casa probably would've TKO'd him earlier than he did Katsidis.

I would not say Hopkins is the furthest at all. He lost two close fights to Jermain Taylor, beat two top fighters in Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright, and lost a close one to Joe Calzaghe. Yes age has slowed him down and he is past his prime ,but he has never taken a beating or alot of punishment I feel Roy Jones is the one who is finished. His speed has diminished ,and he gets hit alot now and gets caught on the ropes alot as well, things that never happened before. He also was knocked out brutally twice by Tarver and Glen Johnson, and was battered in the rubber match with Tarver. I think he will be one the wrong end of things agsinst Calzaghe as well. Jones decline almost mirrors Ali's decline. Two fighters who used their unreal speed and reflexes and atleticism in their primes and got away with things like keeping their hands down and pulling back from shots. Once they lost their gifts, they took alot more punishment. The big difference is Ali had a granite chin, Jones obviuosly doesn't.

diaz is tough as nails. he got battered in a one-sided fight against pac but only go down at the 10th round. casa still has pop but not anything that could kd marquez. pac proves that he could kd jmm with his power. because of this we could argue that diaz could withstand casa's early onslaught and take the fight deep into the last rounds. when this happens, this verson of casa will be faded as **** and be stopped.

casa is a very good fighter and we could see flashes of it in his fight yesterday. but we must admit that he would lose to the top lightweights today including diaz. that is how he had regressed as a fighter.

I would have to say Roy Jones Jr. Even though Hopkins is the oldest he still shows more in the ring and stays in top shape. Considering just how great RJJ was around the time he completely out classed Hopkins and Toney and on through his dominant light heavyweight run I would say he is the furthest from what he was even though now he is still very affective and can possibly win some big fights.
