Hopkins by far.... who has Calzaghe beaten besides an old washed up Roy Jones Jr, Kessler, who was never that good in my opinion, and that BUM Jeff Lacy?

Hopkins beat alot of great fighters , but they were all smaller fighters who had to move up to fight him; De La Hoya & Trinidad... but he has beaten some other household names like Glenn Johnson, Wright, Pavlik & Tarver which are all better fighters than the guys Calzaghe beat!

G johnson who hadnt beaten anyone of note when Hopkins fought him, got beaten in his next fight after and has lost how many times?
Wright who was fighting at MW at the time and fought Hopkins 2 divisions above what hed fought before.
Pavlik who fought Hopkins at a weight he hadnt fought before and had to come up 2 divisions above his usual weight.
Tarver who had 3 losses coming in to the Hopkins fight, and was apparently struggling with weight after gaining for the filming of Rocky 6, but who really knows there, but Tarver had also lost to Johnson with how many defeats to his name?
Calzaghe has beaten Hopkins, who has beaten the names you mention.
Do you rate the 4 fighters mentioned to be better than Eubank or Kessler? Wright would have a good argument P4P but was fighting at a weight he hadnt fought before and has never fought since, so has no resume in the same division as Hopkins, same applies to Pavlik

Come on Banger, you keep putting it out there, and I keep showing you those ridiculous quotes from Calzaghe. Still no response to them? And if gullable and brainwashed applies to this side of the pond, what does it say about over there that some of you talk of Joe Calzaghe as if he were a proper ATG?

The guy lost 5 out of his last 9 and 3 in a row to end his career, and you wouldn't call him shot midway thru that spell? Simply because he put on a competitive fight after fighting Calzaghe? Then what would it take?

I'm not a Hopkins fan, so I could really care less where he actually stands in relation to others. However, I will attempt to be objective. Many of his biggest wins were against smaller guys. But there is no doubt they were world class operators. I'd put that above regional competition.

I brought up Hopkins age when he was fighting Jones again because it is clear that he was looking for a big payday and not big time competition. His age only lends credence to that.

Again, it may seem that I'm looking to demolish Calzaghe's resume. I'm not. I just think it should not be overinflated, as some on here tend to do. If guys have to go thru such lengths to justify not only a guys weaker wins, but his best wins, what does that say about the fighter's resume?

If you take all their wins and were to combine them into one list in order of best to worst, what would it look like?

Calzaghe was streets ahead of that snaggle-toothed acting disgrace, Borenard Popkins.

The volume of deluded comments in this thread is truly mind-boggling.
