This, along with a bottle of KY, some candles, and some kleenex, should keep you away for a little bit. Have fun and be gone :thumbsup

Durran knocked out horse with single punch
... PAC has no chance until he knocks out two cows with one punch.

The horse was always mouthing off and trash-talking Duran. It was the fight everybody wanted and the only fighter to pose a real threat to Duran. The horse came well over the 135lb limit and Duran still took the fight. Duran shut the horse up.

This is very similar to the situation we see Pacquaio and Mayweather in currently.

He also lost to Ray easily, which has to do with his head to head fight with Ray. He did not stop or dominate Ray when he fought Duran's fight. The point I always make about Duran is that there is something missing in his resume which pertains to wins against greats. longevity yes, but when he stepped up and fought the deep skilled fighters he lost, regardless of the excuse that he was out of shape or old at 29-32. Which nowadays would be considered young. The excuses for Duran are endless. Shane started at 135 with his first title and look at him now? No one says he is the little small guy. How was Duran?

Unless it comes to pass that Cotto really is toast, I think that's about the same level of victory. On an all-time level, they're about equal, and both men came in well over their best weights to meet them.

Throw a victory over Mayweather at the top (which is a smidge below Duran's best win over Leonard), and it pushes it so that most of Pac's next best wins after the top 2 are better than Duran's next best wins.

Duran would beat Pacquiao prime for prime pretty easily.

The only thing I can say I disagree with is that Duran never beat an ATG easily. The only ATG he beat was Leonard, and that was difficult and he lost the rematch. So I am not sure it would be easy. His easy wins were against non-greats. That is why I think Duran is overrated. He gets consideration for things which were not great. Longevity is good, but does not make a great fighter. Beating greats does.

Roberto Duran wasn't only north of his optimal weight, he was at least 10 years removed of his prime, and the guy he was fighting was a man mountain at 6'1 who was a capable hitter. Manny Pacquiao wasn't significantly above his best weight either, many will agree that Manny actually looks better as a Junior Welterweight than he did at virtually any other time in his career.

A victory over Ray Leonard at 147lbs is infinitely more impressive than a victory over Mayweather at Welterweight. Let's get back to reality.
