He fights in spurts quite a lot of the time. Lackadaisical. Low output. Hop will outhustle him.

I predict we'll see a record low output for Dawson if he fights Hopkins. Doesn't throw enough at the best of times, Hopkins can reduce it to a pretty pathetic number

I would say Dawson lacks the unorthodoxy of Calzaghe. Hop will have a pretty straightforward job, Dawson has never been the sum of all his parts IMO.

I don't know unless Hopkins defends this LH belt against Dawson Bute and Ward or fighters of that calibre i find it almost impossible to seperate the two in a mythical P4P list. They would be right next to each other. Its like Eubank/Benn impossible to seperate.

Having a low output isn't too much of a problem against a 46yo, Dawson's speed means he can get off first of can sit back and counter, Nard is out of his comfort zone when that happens

Hops will probably face Bute instead, as he only really needs to avoid the counter left and he's laughing

I think I have analysed this scenario already. B-Hop knows how to force the fight, although he'd prefer not to. He will outhustle Dawson. He'll do more. Sometimes Dawson doesn't even counter, he just sits back.

I will add that Bute would also be a good scalp for him to claim.

Jones was more talented but he wasted many of his prime years fighting mandos that simply had no chance of beating him.

I don't see Hopkins missing much with his straight right. It was a thing of beauty and it was there all night long for Pascal against 'Decent' Dawson. Hopkins will have a ****ing field day with it imo

Yeah he fought some crap aswell but he was never in the same position as Roy who in his prime was a superstar and for the most part in the top 2 P4P for many years.
I think Hopkins faced the bigger challenges although like I said Roy was the more talented and the man who I enjoyed watching more.

B-Hop defo now sits atop boxings Mt Olympus:deal

He's incredible & he's now well & truly out of Roy Jones Jr's shadow IMO, both different but equal, When i watched that schooling of Tarver & the sublime beauty of that masterclass against Pavlick i could'nt see how he could surpass that. But the robbery of the Pascal 1st fight was i thought the absolute ridiculous summit for old man B-Hop. But last night's master class from a 46 yr old man just goes to show you that we've overlooked just how ****in brilliant B-Hop actually is.

I'am a big RJJ fan but if i had to flick a coin on the 2 i'd pick heads for B-Hop & it'd be a double-headed coin for sure now.

To call the man a marvel is an understatement:yep

Roys career at top level ended when he got knocked out by Glen Johnson. Whats happened since I'm not even considering for this debate.

Hopkins on the otherhand is still a top fighter and still adding to his legacy today.

Jones had chances to add more quality wins from 1998-2004...but for the most part failed to do so. Hes a journyman now...sad but true.

Yep. Both fighters are great, but B-Hop has carved out the better resume over time.

Roy is better hands down, at his best he almost walked on water

But Bernard is greater than him & an inspiration

I thought he was "greater" before last night & he won the event by exercising between rounds
