It can't be proven Vittles would beat Floyd unless they fought. We can certainly rank other fighters based on top ten wins. THAT is NOT conceptual, that is FACT!!

you are being clearly disingenuous by stating that we dont know who would win between them. sure we dont know to a certainty just as nobody can prove to a certainty that this reality is even real but its irrelevant. Everyone can reasonably assume that if they fought 10 times, vitali would most likely win all 10 fights barring 1 in a million freak accident/injury

floyd's top 10 wins are irrelevant since none of those guys would ever fight a monster like vitali for fear of their health. there are way more fighters that vitali can beat than floyd can. its the basketball height divisions scenario all over again.

vitali also dominated in boxing after transitioning from kick boxing. that is amazing.

if guys like vitali and floyd were allowed to fight eachother in boxing, floyd would be out of a job

Let me break it down for you alt......who has the greater accomplishments, who has beaten the better fighters in their respective weight classes? The answers to this will tell you who's greater, not some fantasy land h2h fight.

Floyd's top 10 wins are not "irrelevant". Comparing two fighters' top 10 best wins is a perfectly valid way of figuring out which one is better, and Floyd's best wins are better than Vitali's.

Floyd made Corrales and Marquez look like amateurs.

This is what you call the "loaded question", or the suggestion fallacy.

Floyd is the better boxer, but I'd still rather have Vitali on my side in a street fight.

And you are what's referred to as a troll. Who says I'm banned from the scene? Just because I no longer have this user name doesn't mean I'm banned. I'm just following in the footsteps of you and Joe McKenzie.....oops, I forgot you were the same guy. :rofl

I'd rather have Vits in a street fight too. But this isn't about that. Floyd is the better boxer with the better career, hence the greater fighter.

vitaly is greater because deep down this sport exists to find out who would win a fight. it may not include all aspects of fighting but deep down it cannot be denied that finding out who would win a fight between 2 people is a huge part of any combat sport including boxing. in that sense floyd is not as good or great of a fighter as vitaly.

this is a joke, isn't it? Vits was spirited and tough, but no way does he have the skill, nor resume nor legacy of Money. Not even close. How can anyone claim the reverse of the truth?

I like Vits better though. Money is a horrible man.

we aint talking about who is more popular or successful financially. Vitaly doesn't know how to sell or manage himself like floyd though. im simply stating that vitaly would crush floyd. He is a better boxer. This thread seems to imply p4p which is a ludicrous concept to begin with. the greatest boxer is the one who can beat everyone else. Thinking up alternate universes where everyone is the same weight is ludicrous and comparing fighters from 2 vastly different weight classes is preposterous. why dont we start comparing short basket-ball players to tall ones, and come up with idiocies such as foot for foot who is best basket-ball player.

    OMG.

forgive me for it never occurring to me for a minute that someone somewhere on the planet would start a thread pitting a former super featherweight against a super HW.

    Oh definitely.

Just like how Hasim Rahman is superior to Sugar Ray Leonard, Sam Peter is superior to Marco Antonio Barrera, Vasilly Jirov is better than Ruben Olivares, David Haye is superior to Roberto Duran.

Oh wait, when not in camp, Duran would probably weigh the same as Haye and probably beat him.
