In a recent interview, Margarito says he is hungrier than Cotto for his title and that he is going to go and get it. Does ESB agree with Margarito being hungrier or is the quiet champ Cotto hungrier but instead of saying it, his performance next Saturday night in the ring will speak for itself?

I'm sure they both want to win the fight and be successful. Equally.

The only thing I could outright disagree with in the interview is the part where Margarito claimed he had more heart than Mosley and Judah put together.

Mosley is a bad dude with a lot of heart. :good

Margarito is hungrier. I don't think that can be argued, but Cotto hates losing. He's not a guy you want to try and take something from.

I think Margarito is, if he wins he'll pull off a big upset. Doesn't mean Cotto can't kil his body for 12 rounds though.

it would be unfair to choose...
cotto been a determined hungry fighter since I (and probably everyone) has first seen him fight

Margarito has always been (as long as ive seen him fight) a rough and tumble fighter who fights with a chip on his shoulder.. especially after losing to Paul Williams hes been fighting like he has something to prove

chosing one fighter or the other would almost be unfair

Doesnt matter if Tony's hungier, skills pays the bills. And Cotto's skill is gonna be the deciding factor in this fight.

I think both are hungry to win/retain the belt. However, I get the sense that Cotto is slightly the hungrier of the 2 fighters, because he appears to be training harder, although I haven't seen much of Margo in training but from what I know Cotto is working extremely hard and already down to 150.5lbs, and he appears more focused and seems to be underestimating Margo less than Margo is under estimating Cotto.

I'd edge it to Margo. I reckon he feels he has more to prove to people than Cotto and this is his moment of glory. Compare that to Cotto, who is obviously hungry, but probably just sees Margo as a stepping stone to a possible fight with Mayweather.

To win - it HAS to be Margarito, cause he's the only one who can win it.

Cotto can only defend it, or retain it.

    :D

Well both guys are going to be coming into this fight in 100% shape, ready to fight. No doubt about that... but as far as who's the hungrier of the two I'd say Margarito. Cotto is sitting prety with marginal fame, millions of dollars, and already a great resume of fighters on his record.... Margo still yearns to reach that kind of status in the sport.
